Why do atheists breath?

Ah, i apologize didn't really mean it like that, most people here are great, just very few exceptions...

No apology necessary - just found it rather sad.

Unfortunately there really are 'bad apples" in any group. Not all Christians truly understand what Christ taught and live it - some perhaps through bad teaching, some perhaps through just not getting through their own issues yet.

I apologize on behalf of any who have made you feel that way. It really is kind of sad.

Perhaps that wasn't the purpose of the OP. I answered in case there was an interesting angle. But perhaps there isn't.

Do you want to know the theological reason? It is in order to give everyone the chance to know God, even intuitively if they perhaps reject misrepresentations of Him. In the hope that they embrace the good in life, aided by the image of God in which they were created and still bear, in spite of it having being hidden or marred in us all.

I had hoped something interesting might be in the works. It popped up as "new" while I was bored.

Thankfully all of the imagined "hate" were mere projections. If it helps anyone to feel better, then at least there's that. I suppose I'm just rather weary of various segments of society (not usually religion-based) seeming to try to increase antagonism and create conflict with their perceived opposite. Particularly in the US, it's been quite the ongoing theme for several years.

But if that's what some folks enjoy ...

They aren´t much different than this one, but they are meant seriously. Maybe you can find there what you had been looking for.

Thank you for that information. This thread makes a lot more sense in that case. I don't normally visit this forum - I followed the "new threads" in. As such, I am really an outsider here.

And no, I don't think I'll visit them. I doubt I could convince them to post any differently, and from your description, it would probably just sicken me. Definitely NOT " what I'm looking for".

But I sincerely do thank you for explaining, and for doing so with civility.

Normally this is where I would wish folks "God be with you" but I wouldn't want to offend.
