WHY DID TONGUES STOP ?

I am glad I believe the gifts of the Holy Ghost are still in effect today.
I am glad to have been given some of those gifts.

And always amazed by many that God did GIFT US and many that read Paul has written. about them , and here there ARE !!

# 1 And He gave , indeed the the apostles which means Messenger !!

# 2 Gave Prophet. , just means one speaks that the message of Grace , as Paul is the apostle to the Gentiles

# 3. And an. Evangbvelist , someone that a the message of Grace

# 4 And Pastors , but good ones is what I say

# 5 And Teachers and good ones

And all gifts were given to. the. equipping of the saints for the work of the ministry , for building up the BODY

of Christ !!

We receive the same Holy Spirit that gives gifts in the bible. So yeah, the same gifts are given today.

The context is:
Wherefore let him that speaketh in an unknown tongue pray that he may interpret. (1 Corinthians 14:13)

And I have and OP , WHY TONGUES ceased but will come back during the Great Tribulation in Mark 16:-18 !!

and what comes in Mark 16:16 is HOLY SP[IRIT BABTISM , and speak in new Tongues , cast out demons take up

serpents , and drink up deadly think and heal the sick . in. Mark 16:15- 18 ,
