And I would like to point out , again, that Paypal didn't cancel the expansion because of the bathroom bill portion of HB2, but rather the nullification of LGBT protections in Charlotte.

We're supposed to fear someone going into a bathroom with kids and ignore that this law wiped out local control of discrimination and minimum wage laws. Fear! Mistrust! There's someone out to get you! Be afraid!

They can do what they want, but when their motives are based in things disassociated with their business, people will talk. Or worse.

Typically, good tech company employees run moderate to liberal. Or at least not crazy-far right conservative. Looking to maximize the chances of hiring those kind of employees isn't disassociated with their business, no matter how much that upsets people who thought they had a great, consequence-free way to stick it to Those Others(tm).

Let's look at it this way. I go to the mens room and it is all funky and I decide to use the women's room. I walk in someone says something to security, they confront me and then I say "I feel like a female today" and now I get to walk away. Sounds like special privilege to me.

So, show me where that is wrong according to what the Charlotte Ordinance stated.....I have to lie to use the womens room by stating I feel like a female today.....
And "funky" was just an example....it could be for any reason or no reason at all.....
Oh, and BTW I am not transgender if that helps clear anything up.....

You still said you want to lie to use the wrong restroom. As noted, nobody is being given or asking for that privilege, therefore there is no special privilege.
