They don't actually give a damn about LGBT rights. They are using this to grandstand to make themselves look good instead of actually making a stand.Ok, they're hypocrites...
Now for the crucial question: So what?
They got what they wanted.

I'm just confused by your stance. It's clear from paste statements when it's someone you oppose politically you take issue with their hypocrisy.Which brings me back to the original question: so what?

You don't care that Paypal is only making this move to help advertise their service via free PR and doesn't actually give a darn about LGBT rights?
It is not bullying....this is how you get corporations attention....affect their bottom line and the CEO/COO/President will sit up and take notice....that is if they want to keep their jobs....
So you are boycotting pay pal because you think their boycotting NC was "bullying"? Would this not make you the exact same kind of bully?
paypal has steep fees. And there are alternatives out there. But there is another reason many conservative organizations are putting out an alert to close down all paypal accounts.
(here is a copy of my email to gary marino executive at paypal (gary@paypal.com)
I am a believer in the Bible, and I do not like people bullying others into views that go against their conscience or religion. People even before capitalism, flocked to america because of this freedom of religion.
I am closing my account at paypal based solely on an american family action alert last week.
I will post the link for you to read.

this is not acceptable on many levels.
please forward to the appropriate department.
thank you.
I also have forwarded the alert to everyone I know.

this thread is not advice, as I am not stating to do so.
I am simply mentioning that others are doing this, and that I have in fact closed my account. mainly because ebay card payments now. The only thing I sacrificed was steep fees at paypal, and a warranty that may never be used. Ebay warranty or piece of mind is not really existent. But again, if you go to any flee market, you dont' get a warranty either.
my conscience is more important.
If you are really extreme on this issue,
you may want to know target is going genderless on their bathrooms too.

some are boycotting them as well recently.
Paypal is just virtue signaling. They don't REALLY care about LBGT rights, how do we know this?
Here's a list of countries that have anti-lbgt laws, more than a handful of them proscribe death as the punishment.

Here is a list of countries that Paypal serves:
https://www.paypal.com/webapps/mpp/country-worldwide
Here's a small sample of the countries that they serve that have anti-lbgt laws:
Yemen
Mauritania
Nigeria
Qatar
Saudi Arabia
Somalia
Indonesia
India
Kuwait
Sri Lanka
Belize
Guyana
Grenada
Jamaica
Russia
If Paypal really believes in what they are saying and aren't just moralizing hypocrites they will stop doing business in the above countries.
Well, they certainly don't care about LGBT rights outside the United States... it could be that they simply hold the US to a higher standard than those other countries.

Was the bus boycott long years ago and after Ms.Rosa Parks stood for her rights, or sat more like it, bullying the racist politicians that made the laws that put blacks at the back of the bus? And made it so that if a white person needed to sit on a full bus that that black person in their so called rightful place, had to give up their seat?So you are boycotting pay pal because you think their boycotting NC was "bullying"? Toss Egypt on that list. You know, where Sharia Law allows the murder of women, and excising the [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse] of young girls, and yet was not boycotted for those horrifically evil human rights violations by, "the boss" Bruce Springsteen, and Brian Adams. Who instead boycotted North Carolina's concert venue.Paypal is just virtue signaling. They don't REALLY care about LBGT rights, how do we know this?

It's business. They're marketing to the LGBTQ community because they know they'll support any business that turns bigot toward a Democratic state government on behalf of a minorities rights to violate the privacy of the majority in question.....NASCAR.
Really.
NASCAR.
Guys, this should be raising red flags and ringing alarm bells.
