Why Can't they ever put something decent on T.V?

Why can't they ever put on any decent shows on tv. Television shows with a good sense of moral and values embedded into a full depth story line.

Id just settle right now for some television shows that have some intelligence behind them
The preponderance of Reality TV has further killed my hope of finding intelligent life on this planet, especially since we have fallen to watching washed up has-beens, such as in the upcoming show Being Bobby Brown.
Its going to be like the Osbournes only without a successful singer in the show.
For every halfway intelligent show (most of which still manage to pander to the lowest common denominator), there seems to be a dozen like the new Minding the Store. I mean c'mon....Pauly Shore is getting his own TV show! American TV is falling to an all new low.

C'mon. Everyone is always picking reality TV. There is some good reality TV: The news, The Amazing Race, Survivor's first seasons, The Mole 2...wait, that got replaced by Celebrity Mole, which was inane...um...well, there are the carious "House" series on PBS/BBC, those are good. And Survivorman. Holmes on Homes is good. And uh...um...

Then again, there is a lot of bad reality TV. And a lot of bad scripted TV. I think that we can safely the say the problem isn't just reality TV: it's lazy creative minds.

The shows you listed (those that Ive seen) I couldnt get through more than one episode.
Ah well, we just have a difference of opinion
(And I was just using those two upcoming reality TV shows as examples from the latest TV guide regarding "up and coming" series. Seems reality tv is expanding more rapidly than any other format)

Then again, there is a lot of bad reality TV. And a lot of bad scripted TV.

Just plain lazy minds if you ask me. Pandering to the lowest common denominator (Blue Collar TV anyone?) is just plain lazy
