Tad is a devout Catholic and I have always respected him, even tho I disagree with some of RC dogmas and views. [I was raised RC btw]

Not all Catholics pray to the saints or Mary (I happen to be one of them) and there is no requirement to do so. It is advised, but not required.

I think these Protestants are pretty harmless, give them some leeway, would be my approach. But each to their own.

I notice you are from Australia.
Do you know a long term Catholic member named "MoreCoffee" that was also from Australia [I think it was the northern part].
He quit CF a little while back. I always liked and respected him in a lot of ways, and felt he was a good apologist for Catholicism. I do miss him.

I think only Jesus Christ matters, not your denomination

I was speaking in the context of the OP. The Bible, the eternal Word of God, has the same opinion as I do on this subject:

"For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ." (1 Corinthians 3:11).

Absolutely agree. Jesus is what matters. Blessed Archbishop (and soon-to-be Saint) Fulton J. Sheen said it's better for a man to be a good Protestant than a bad Catholic. Just being Catholic won't get you into heaven, and I some of the holiest people I've known have been Protestants.

Me either. We have one intercessor before God, and that's Christ Jesus. I don't need to pray to anyone else.

I had a chance to watch the first video. It's basically Catholic apologetics 101. I think a lot of us converts/reverts come to the same logical conclusions ourselves. I was really led to the Church by a leap of faith. The logical part came later.

Good stuff, for those bouncing around protestantism.

But he really is funny, Ray Guarendi. The CD I have is just hilarious. that southern twang really helps though.
