Just an answer to your question. Well I am a christain and I do not think any less of someone who does not have the same belief as myself. Learned along time ago charaterizing people by lables is very wrong. You cannot lable a group of people by one or two peoples actions.
This from my experiances. Am sorry you had some bad experiances.
I can tell you why I am a believer in christ. I was raised in the Lutheran church my first day of church was when I was 3 days old. Learned alot thru that religon and did alot of work in that church. My father died when I was 9 God saw me thru it. In all I started to form a relationship with God at that time. Reading the bible was a peace i had never known. My mother thru herself into a bitterness and concentrated on my younger sister. Then years later I was 19 and got into some trouble the church wanted to ex-communicate me. I began searching in the bible had no idea why but every place I looked was there was a example of God love for us and forgiveness.


3. If you, O LORD, kept a record of sins,
O Lord, who could stand?

4. But with you there is forgiveness;
therefore you are feared.

5. I wait for the LORD, my soul waits,
and in his word I put my hope.

Psalm 130:3-5


This is why I chose to be a Christain, Believer in Christ.
Religon is different from believing in Christ/being a christain having a relationship with God is important for me.You need to choose your path nothing on earth can do that, your relationship should you choose, is between you and God. If you choose to believe and have a relationship with God that is your choice. I can offer you my friendship and if you need someone to talk to am all ears. If you need help also in this area read some testimonies there interesting. Just a friendly suggestion

But the thing you cannot overcome and noone ever will is the existence of the State of Israel in 1948 fulfilling Ezekial 37.

Israel will be there until Jesus returns and it will be ruled by the decendents of Abraham as it is now.

All that I know for sure is that I’m aware of a presence of creating force with in life itself. And, that creative force, I see it's presence everywhere I look. I also know that I’m aware of the power found with in compassionate love. I experience the truth and power of both of those things. To take this one step further, the point where the creative force with in life AND the power of Love and Compassion meet and become one, that is where I give my thanks and blessings to. At that point, everything is whole, united and One.

Perhaps you can see that I’m not able to separate God from creation like Christians are able to do. I simply don’t know how to do that. Where I see and experience my Beloved God is with in life. So with in life is all of the wisdom anyone could ever know or even hope to know. It's the ONLY Holy Book directly written by the hand of God.

Sadly no the many of the ones who are reaping the benefits of Abrahams obedience today are Unbelieving Jews living without the Gospel of the Messiah. But they have their land and do not know the many terrors awaiting them.

Good question! There are many reasons why... Here is a list of some of the reasons. I might speak about some of them that really in particular lead me away from Christianity..

1. Hell - By far one of the most disturbing things, and something that has always bugged me. You know, christians say that god is loving, and merciful, and kind. So why would this god send someone to hell! and eternally! You know, just because one does not accept christ, or allah, or whatever religion, does not mean they should be in hell. it does not make on a bad person. It breaks my heart to think that such innocent people could be in hell. Even if hell was not eternal, it is still gross! First off God doesnt send us to hell WE send ourselves to hell, do you honestly think he wants this? theres either heaven or hell you pick, Heaven is not of this world it is a holy place,Christ is our bridge back to God if we dont beleive in Him how are u gonna cross? all u have to do is beleive in Him.
2. Gay rights - You know, I am gay, and I have many gay friends. And it is not something I chose. Now I do not hurt anyone. I have a boyfriend, and we do have sexual intercourse.. But no one gets hurt. It is between me and him. Yet some religion has the audacity to tell me that I should be PUT TO DEATH for being gay. (Leviticus, and yes for some odd reason Jesus "fulfilled" those laws, but it is still there, and was still applied at a time. also in the qu'ran to "hurt them"). You know, what kind of god does that! You know, I give a ton of my money to charity, I volunteer at an animal shelter, I am a vegetarian, I care for people, I give to the poor as much as I can, there is a kid at school who I am taking my personal time to try and help him with personal issues, and I try to be as loving as possible. I am still far from perfect, but I can at least say that I am a descent person. And simply because I have sex with my boyfriend, I should be put to death, and go to hell.. How sick! With this one ill be honest you have me stumped i have met some really nice gay people, i do however beleive anal sex is wrong, sex is meant for procreation imo, God never intented sex to be anal.Why not ask Him? if you really search for an answer with all youre heart he will answer you, just might not be the answer youre looking for.

"I am an all perfect god, yet i am going to create this satan, i know everything to, but i am going to let him cause trouble in this world, then i am going to force people to worship me." Jerk! Dude do u even know who Satan is or should i say was? Satan was made perfect, from what i read in angelogy he was Gods protective angel (i dont know how true this holds) Satan turned evil alot can be said for us humans we werent created evil we turned our backs on God and decided to do evil. and as far as worshipping him, We as christians worship him in complete love. i bet if you really knew how much God has done for you you would worship him as well.

Nowhere in the bible, qu'ran, veda's, anywhere does it mention that there are millions of indians on this other piece of land(The america's.) So not only did this god not tell us this information, but he did not send his christianity or islam or judaism to them!!
2. An all powerful god would not let evil happen - If god is all powerful, all compassionate, and can do anything he want, then why can't he just stop all this evil and make everything good. Why can't he stop rapists from doing their horrible things to children, or stop murders? why does he allow such! Yay for being robots..no thanks my friend, what kind of love is that, he loved us so much He gave us something called free will, ill be honest i had those same questions. alot of people do but the truth of the matter is this world is wicked, end of story God can stop it and beleive me when Jesus comes for the rest of us evil will ceasse to exsist, the real question should be why cant WE stop raping and murdering...

1. Why a chosen nation? - why the jews and israel chosen? why not everyone totally equal! jews, christians, muslims, explanations please!
