You mean besides the fact that relativism is the norm now in comtemporary america? This is the only reason why homosexuality is now being accepted because not even scietifically is there a purpose for homosexuality, it violates the purpose of sociobiology. That's why people are taking all the verses of homosexuality and taking them out of context to fit contemporary world view.

Roman soldiers used to have young boys bear their armor for them in the field. And? When they were not caring for the soldier's armor? They were used for sexual release. Now, that was seen as normal in that culture.

Do you see it as being normal?

They were relaxed about it back then.

What some here fail to see, is that the open acceptance of homosexuality is not progressive. It regressive. It is not going forward. But, returning back to a time of paganism. And? Who knows? In fifty years? You may have a culture that sees your way as being normal.......

So, be patient. Cultural degeneracy takes time to take its course. Then God smashes that nation, and another is raised up to be an example of what it means to lives by God's values. Happened to many nations. Great one day. Degenerate, the next. God raised up another nation to replace the last one that just rotted away.

After all... rotting is a "normal' thing. Isn't it?

Everything is normal. But, not everything which is normal is good.

Evil is normal in the world.

Darkness, is too.

Bitter is normal, as well.

So much for what constitutes "normal."

Murder is normal. It has happened every year throughout history. It happened then. It happens now.

Its a normal occurance in any society. Why not legalize murder, and tax it? That way we can use that money to pave the roads? After all? Murder has been with us forever! Why not use it for good?

I am relaxed. You just do not know why.

In actuallity, it does not cause a problem for society. Its open acceptance only reveals a soctiety that has real problems that run much deeper. Its only symptomatic, not the cause.

Every human body has cancer cells in it that the immune system keeps in check.

Its when the immune system is weak, or malfunctions, that cancer begins to reign.

Having cancer is symptomatic, not the cause of the body's problems.

Just like the flooding of Katrina indicated poor design in the levees. The levees were the real problem, not the hurricane.

When homosexuality (which will always be with us) begins an ascension in a society? If its a nation that has believers in Christ and the freedom to worship? Then it indicates a problem with the Church. Not with the society. For God blesses a nation where the Church remains faithful to His Word. If the believers begin to seek out false doctrines to live by? Then God removes his blessings on the land and it begins the process of decay .....leading to its ruin down the road.

Salt acts as a preservative against decay. It adds zest, as well to what would otherwise be a bland food. The problem with America and other cultures today, is that the Church is not producing salt. Its not giving forth sound doctrine. Its only telling the people what they want to hear, and using the Bible as the means to do so.

The open acceptance of homosexuality is a warning to the Church! Tolerating gays is the norm of believers. Open acceptance, is not.

God is sending out a warning signal. If the Church continues to produce weak teachings and false doctrines? No immune system that is healthy? We will become a nation trampled on by men.

Secularism will come into rule. They are waiting in the wings right now to see how America will decide. Its called the Liberal Party.

Elections in free nations with Christianity do not determine who is to rule. It only reveals who is ruling the Church. No salt? No good can come from it.

God may use a major war to kill off those who are bringing the nation down to help heal it. Or, he may use disease to judge a nation. Or, he may just allow for the nation to cease being a major power..... to die a death of France.

How is it normal, since the behavior is carried out by a small minority of people and is considered wrong/taboo by virtually all societies?

It creates a society which believes that sex and relationships are for the purpose of love between two people. It leads to a selfish attitude about relationships and sex- which destroys family.

The purpose of marriage is for family and procreation. Our notion about love simply between two people is a big part of our high diovorse rate and is, quite frankly, untraditional and incompatible with humanity.

It's no wonder that so many children are caught up in divorse and so many familes are in conflict.

Keep in mind, I'm not blaming gays for divorse- I'm saying it is problematic because it is part of a greater problem.

This segment covered two twin brothers - one gay and one not. Their parents said that they could tell a difference between the two boys at an early age (I think they said that differences began to show themselves at around eighteen months).

There's nothing "chosen" about the way these kids developed. It is nonsense to say that an eighteen month old baby "chose" to be gay. As a matter of fact, scientists are now theorizing that hormones, not genes, are responsible for sexuality. The segment showed a rat who was injected with female hormones. It began to exhibit female characteristics.

That flies in the face of the common fundamentalist assertion that a person "chooses" their sexuality, as does the fact that those who say that never seem to answer one simple question: when did you "choose" to be straight?

Did anyone else see that part of 60 Minutes?

1) Baby acting like a girl in 18 months? LOL. You are got to be kidding me. No sociologist would by the considering most research shows that kids are genderized insted of acting in a feminate matter. There's straight gilrs who act like little boys as well, that doesn't mean squad.

2) What female hormones exactly? It could be one female hormone which can be one of the precursors to testasterone so that could infact increase the level of male hormones (testastorone). How exactly does a rat exibit female qualities? LOL Rats don't have gender roles, unless the male rat started to feed babies.

3) I haven't once said that sexuality is a choice, I said that sexuality is set and later perverted. We are all born (according to scripture) straight and homosexuals CHOOSE TO DIVIATE FROM GOD'S GIVEN ROLE. BTW in some cases, such as cases of molestation or rape kids are confused by their sexuality because of the traumatic experience, homosexuality doesn't mean it's the persons fault, it may have happened by some bad circumstance. What we need to do is help them to get back into God's plan for their life.

Scientific studies are also reportedly showing that murder and rape, even child molestation are genetic. Even if this is true, does it make any of these things less sinful? Sin itself is an innate part of humanity, genetically and spiritually, because we are fallen. We are by nature sinful, and everything that God has called us to is contrary to our human nature. Homosexuality is no different. Whether it was their nature prior to salvation or not is a mute point after salvation, because after salvation we are made slaves unto a new master and a new nature! To say otherwise is to deny the redemptive power of the cross, and the cleansing power of the Blood!

I apologize for the dual post, but I need to add more. This debate should not be about homosexuality at all, but rather about sin. Sin is not an act, but a state of being outside of the glory of God! Either we are in His will or we are not, period. It does not matter if it is homosexuality, adultery, or speeding. The degrees of sin are human made and not biblical in any way. 'For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God!'

Can I please see these studies...dear God I hope it's not sociobiology. I haven't seen one legit study showing that murder, rape or child molestation is genetic.

You'd have to watch the segment. As I said, I'm not a biologist. But the way in which the rat exhibited sexual behavior was more like a female rat.

1)What are you talking about? You were just arguing that people are born gay, therefore it nature and biology?

2) Again, because he said so doesn't mean anything, infact he doesn't seem to know anything about it. I bet he doesn't even have expertise in rat behavior, so his testamony is worthless without credentials.

3) You need help with your comprehension skills. But I'll clerify, sexuality isn't a choice, but deviating from it is. Example...we are all born straight (sexuality), but we can only deviate from it because of perversion, abuse, porn..ect.

60 Minutes is not the last word on the subject...

Who tempted Cain to murder? Or, was it Cain's genes that made him murder? Who tempted the woman to fall? Or, was it her genes that made her give the fruit to Adam? And, Adam's genes and hormones that made him to eat?

We are leaving an issue out of this that is vitally important. Do not demons influence certain individuals? Do they not sense certain make ups of a child and know they can manipulate them? I am not saying this is demon possession. I speak of spiritual manipulation. After all, before we were saved we were vulnerable to being tempted because of our particular genetic makeup, but it did not mean we would give in to the temptation. Some people are tempted to cheat on tests. Some are tempted to make fun of others. There are a wide variety of demeanors man is born into. Could it be that demons recruit certain types for certain obsessions?

After all? Why were believers set free from their old way of life while under the teaching of Paul?

These folks did not change genetically. They changed by what effected them spiritually!


Is it not possible that certain behaviors of men are actually under the influence of spiritual powers that exploit traits demons know they can exploit? That would never come into consideration on such shows as 60 Minutes.

Why is this not considered by more Christians? If God condemns a certain behavior under the Law, as to demand execution? If it were genetical in nature? Would that not be an unfair law?

Like saying, if anyone stutters he is to be put to death? Or, if anyone is deaf, he is to be executed? Those would be unfair laws, for it did not involve choice.

Yet the choice may not for the desire so much, but to put fear in the heart of the one being tempted as to resist demon influence attempting to gain control over the thinking of the person. It was God's way of having a person reject a demonic influence by threatening the death penalty for certain types of behavior.

Demons take pleasure is having control over men. What better way to know one has real control? Then to get a man to do something they do not want to do in the light of knowing social norms established by God? Now, that's power if they can do it.
