Yes, the Atheist find validation in the doctrines of doubt by communing with other nonbelievers in undermining faith. Atheist have Godless ideals that they promote in a setting such as this.
There you go again... Spouting off without understanding.

They are seeking something more, deep down they know that the world cannot just create itself there has to be a creator. Kent Hovind explains it all too well.

When Kenny gets out of prison, I am sure he will have some more nuggets for you.

Seriously, what's with these drive-by posters? And only in this particular thread?
I think the revamped site is causing the influx of newbies, and you know those newbies, thinking they have the ultimate atheist deconversion strategy and are just waiting to try it out on one of us. That and some people's avatars are gone so it's kinda hard to tell who you're replying to.

when I asked you if you had ever dedicated your life to Christ, which is what the core of the Gospel is, you demonstrated that you never were "all in".

Is that the only explanation you can come up with that the persons in question been dishonest with them self? Then I have some more for you:

  • Maybe it demonstrate that God did not like that person and did not gave him/her strength enough to believe.
  • Maybe it demonstrate that God has favorites making only certain people able to believe, like you.
  • Maybe it demonstrate that you are wrong.
  • etc, etc...
What makes you think your particular judgment and conclusion is the correct one?

In regards to your last sentence; he needs to. He really, really needs to.

God is open to all of his children, he loves each one us with a divine affection. The only real gift we can give God is to do his will.

There are plenty of Christians who do the ritual, half way believe some stuff, but live worldly lives. Its human.

Well, he does have plenty of time to expound on his incoherent ramblings.

I would only have an issue with atheists if they're Madalyn Murray O'Hair wannabes who are trying to convince us Christians how stupid we are.

I don't care what religion one is (or isn't), if you're actually searching for the truth and not trying to intentionally stir up stuff, I'd say welcome.

"A sower went forth to sow, and it came to pass as he sowed that some seed fell by the wayside to be trodden underfoot and devoured by the birds of heaven. Other seed fell upon the rocky places where there was little earth, and immediately it sprang... up because there was no depth to the soil, but as soon as the sun shone, it withered because it had no root whereby to secure moisture. Other seed fell among the thorns, and as the thorns grew up, it was choked so that it yielded no grain. Still other... seed fell upon good ground and, growing, yielded, some thirtyfold, some sixtyfold, and some a hundredfold." And when he had finished speaking this parable, he said to the multitude, "He who has ears to hear, let him hear."...

It also was the top recommended thread in the email I got this morning. That may be part of the draw.

The harder questions are the better questions.

And as you probably already realized the answer to those questions are almost always; we don't know! It is anyone's best guess...

Despite that, some theists insist in that they do known. I have respect for people that says they don't know, but lack the same respect for those people that assure they know The True answers, despite we know that they don't know. But maybe I should not be so hard on them, there is something it psychology of believes (now talking about our beliefs in general) that goes under the label "need for closure", which basically is a tendency to accept whatever answer that comes first as the answer to fill in the gap with. We all do this to a lesser or higher degree, the problem arise when one keep hangs to the first answer despite contrary evidence that later comes around, such as "we actually don't know".
