I don't really consider Wikipedia to the place of all knowledge, but if that is your thing, here is a link the the official Wikipedia page for Jehovah's Witnesses:
Jehovah's Witnesses - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
You will notice that it is called a restorationist denomination in the first sentence of the article.
Also, the founder of The Watchtower, Charles Taze Russell, was deeply influenced and educated in theology by Adventists and other members of the restorationist movement. What he learned in Adventist circles played a huge role in shaping Jehovah's Witness theology. Like all/most restorationist churches, the Jehovah's Witnesses believe that they are the only one true church and that they are restoring the true church of Jesus Christ. In conclusion, no Adventist Movement, no Jehovah's Witness cult.
I hope that that clears it up for you?
Furthermore, I am very understanding and moderate when it comes to theology and other such issues, however, when it comes to cults and ruining lives, I don't have much patience for that. I hope you can appreciate that, as I lived it and it continues to divide and tear my family apart. Cults are dangerous and we must speak out against them, even if it offends our modern day sensibilities.
