But everyone is a Christian remember?Well...you should remember irony is a liberal tool to make REAL CHRISTIANS (tm) look bad.
tulc(want a cup of coffee FathersDaughter? newguy101? I've got plenty thanks to Pogue!)
IndeedNot everyone.
tulc(pouring some coffee, want some?)
But everyone is a Christian remember?
Well if a homosexual doesn't have any sort of diease or anything else bad I wouldn't mind having recieving blood for them. I can't wait until the ACLU makes a rumble at the FDA for this.
Anybody whose blood type is NOT B-negative.
(And for that very reason, I've donated over 3 gallons. B-negative is HARD to get.)
My option wasn't there either. If I was in a position where I needed to receive a pint of blood, I wouldn't care who it came from, as long as it made me healthy again. And I'd be extremely grateful to whoever had donated it.

I thought it was sort of amusing, not really a knee slapper myself, glad we agree on that. I wouldn't want to be accused of random knee slappage!
Just a habit I picked up before I came to CF, I find it can sometimes break the tension in an angry discussion.
tulc(and I can also mention coffee, which I like way to much!)
...or she could be giving an honest answer and you're wrong about what she thinks?
tulc(it does happen you know)
Whoop Whoop. Thank goodness somebody around here has their head screwed on the right way. What a good answer.
No, what she really means is exactly what she said. For some of us, what a person looks like on paper is not ground to pre-judge them. If I'm lying in hospital dying, my blood transfusions can come from the illegitimate child of a Martian and a moon-lady if a reputable doctor says its fine.
Copped out? How so?You didn't have the option I could vote for.
tulc(tries to not cop out if he can at all avoid it)<---lol exactly.
avoid it = cop out
You asked a silly question as if the blood would be served at a bar, remember? That was the cop out.
Take the thread in a humorous direction=cop out.
Who asks WHERE the blood comes from when you need it?
That is part of the equation though. So, being honest, (after all you were voted the least likely to be a hypocrite by thefathersdaughter lol), given the factors of the equation, why not just answer the question? It is a fair question and an honest question, unlike the question, would we want to be alerted to a tornado by a gay, I mean come on! hahahahaha That is absurd to even ask a question like that, where this is actually realistic in getting to the heart of the issue and whether or not people who are pro-homosexual really believe that the homosexual lifestyle is safe for society and if it came down to it, would you refuse their blood if given an option. That is real. I can tell you that if I was a homosexual, I still would not want a homosexual's blood.
PS..I know the tornado question wasn't yours, so just want to state that for whomever is reading this..but my OP did elude to a thread on this board, and that was the one!

I agree with Bianca. First have the donors get their blood tested. Forget the FDA, APA, and anything else dragged from under the carpet, my concern is with the testing. GBU all.
