Ezekiel 38/39 is the OT version of Rev 20:7-9.
They are the very same prophetic event.
With reference to the Revelation of Jesus in Revelation 20:7-9......
Satan within the 1st Century Context was chained from using the unbelieving Gentile nations of the world, inclusive of the unbelieving Gentile Jews (Acts 4:15-20) from preventing Christ's Church Israel from preaching the gospel to the ends of the earth, even until the Gentiles come to full, before Satan is released to wage war on the commonwealth of Israel, that is His Church.
Satan is released before the White Throne final judgment, when Jesus returns and he defeats the final enemy death and then Satan is destroyed in the Lake of Fire. The first heaven and the first earth are no more and Jesus becomes subject to the Father. (1 Corinthians 15:27-28)
As Apostle Paul states Christ must continue to reign through his anointed two witnesses, that is his Church Israel of God, before he can come, at the appointed time after his Church Israel is martyred in a world wide Calvary and then salvation is removed from the gentile world of unbelievers, inclusive of the gentile unbelieving Jews. (1 Corinthians 15:23-28)
Ezekiel 37 [regathered Israel under the rule of
God's New David = Christ]... is the OT version
of Rev 20's 1000 year reign with Christ. This
has come and gone... it was the Church age
which was followed by the secular falling away
and current rebellion against God... for which
God sends Gog/Magog as our punishment and
catalyst of God's divine intervention.
.
New David Jesus Christ according to Daniel's prophetic vision, was when the Messiah came and was crucified for the sins of many Gentile nations, inclusive of the Gentile Jews, then ascended up on high, approaching the ancient of days and was given all dominion, authority and power and the Kingdom, as declared in Daniel 2:44. So as prophesied.......
5“
The days are coming,” declares the Lord, “when I will raise up for David a righteous Branch, a King who will reign wisely and do what is just and right in the land.
6In his days Judah will be saved and Israel will live in safety. This is the name by which he will be called: The Lord Our Righteous Savior. (Jeremiah 23:5-6)
It is Jesus Christ our Lord, who came 2000 years ago and who sat on David's throne and who ministers on our behalves in the Holy of Holies as our High Priest Melchizedek.....
13I saw in the night visions, and, behold,
one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him.
14And
there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion
is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and
his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed. (Daniel 7:13-14)
Daniel 2:44 fulfilled in Christ Jesus at his first advent and ascension.
"
In the time of those kings, the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed, nor will it be left to another people. It will crush all those kingdoms and bring them to an end, but it will itself endure forever. (Daniel 2:44)
The end will come, when he hands over the kingdom to God the Father
after he has destroyed all dominion, authority and power.
25For
he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. (1 Corinthians 15:24-25)
Jesus has throughout the last 2000 years and counting been reigning through his Kingdom Church Israel, as our our Kingly High Priest David. He will continue to reign by making subjects of the world, through his Cross, inclusive of the unbelieving Gentile Jews. After he has done this, then the end will come, when he returns and becomes subject to the Father, as God will be all in all the saved who are written in the book of Life at his return, at the final judgment.
Christ's Kingdom Church Israel
IS NOT like the national kingdom that was in the Old Covenant times, but is spiritual and heavenly. The Jews rejected their Messiah because they were looking for a national fleshly Kingdom on earth, like the olden times of their fathers.
I will establish your royal throne over Israel forever, as I promised David your father when I said, '
You shall never fail to have a successor on the throne of Israel. 1 Kings 9:5)
Christ Jesus continues to reign through his Kingdom Church Israel, as our Kingly High Priest Melchizedek, for the last 2000 years and counting and will do so until he destroys all enemies and the final enemy death at his return, when this first earth and first heaven will flee from his presence and be no more.
17For this is what the Lord says: ‘
David will never fail to have a man to sit on the throne of Israel, 18nor will the Levitical priests ever fail to have a man to stand before me continually to offer burnt offerings, to burn grain offerings and to present sacrifices.’ ” (Jeremiah 33:17-18)
Amen in Christ Jesus as our Kingly High Priest who ministers on our behalves in the Heavenly Holy of Holies.
