The original temple of worship was destroyed, what
exists in its place now is a mosque right? So in
order for a new temple to be built, the mosque has
to be done away with right?

That's right, the Orthodox Jews will have to blow up
the Dome of the Rock in order to clear the way for
the rebuilding of the temple on that Temple Mount
site.

One way they could do this is to go into the synagogue
off the north end of the Wailing Wall. In the eastern
wall of this synagogue are some wrought-iron gates
blocking access to some tunnels which run right under
the Dome of the Rock. All the Orthodox Jews will have
to do is break through those gates and place enough
explosives under the Dome of the Rock to completely
destroy it.

Of course, if the Orthodox Jews ever actually do this,
it will cause unholy wrath among all Muslims worldwide.
A huge jihad will be declared against Israel for (as
the Muslims could say) "its vile desecration of our
second-most holy site".

The blowing up of the Dome of the Rock could also
serve as a very suitable casus belli for the invasion
of Israel by a huge Iraqi Army built up by the U.S.
to conquer Iran instead.

All of this could happen in 2010, when tiny Israel
could be invaded and defeated (Daniel 11:15-16),
completely overrun by the huge Iraqi Army as well
as the Syrian Army and untold hordes of armed
Muslim civilians streaming over every mile of Israel's
borders with Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, and Egypt. Also,
Iran could send many missiles against the major cities
of Israel, and Hizbullah and Hamas could fire off
everything they've got from Lebanon and Gaza. Poor
Israel could just crumple under the all-out onslaught.

But someone could ask: "Wait a minute. If it's so
obvious that any Jews blowing up the Muslim Dome of
the Rock could result in the destruction of the state
of Israel, why would any Jews ever want to blow up
the Dome of the Rock?"

Because not all Jews are so crazy about the secular
state of Israel. The ultra-Orthodox Jews want a true
theocracy ruled by their rabbis, where everyone will
have to live under the old Mosaic law. They see the
current state of Israel as a godless, sinful mess, an
abomination to God. So some of them would love it if
the current state of Israel got wiped out.

But someone could say: "You don't mean that. How
could they love that when it will mean their own
destruction?"

Because some of them wouldn't think that the
destruction of the current state of Israel would
necessarily mean their own destruction. What could
happen is that a miracle-working Orthodox Jewish
"Messiah" could arise and convince many of his
followers that he really is the Messiah and that
(as he could say) "it is time to rebuild the temple
and restore a true, Godly state of Israel. Let us
first destroy that vile abomination called the Dome
of the Rock which is now resting on the Holy site of
our Temple".

If one of his followers asks him, "But Master, won't
that cause too much trouble? I mean it could bring
all the Muslims down upon Israel so that we will have
no chance to ever build the Temple".

The "Messiah" could become enraged at this and say,
"Silence! How dare you question what God Himself has
ordained! Do you actually doubt that if it is God's
will for us to now rebuild the temple and restore a
true state of Israel that He will not miraculously
protect us from any attack by the Muslims and send
His wrathful fire down from heaven upon all of their
filthy heads?"

"N-No, Master, I have no doubt in God's power. Forgive
my stupid question. I will remain silent and do as You
command, for I know that You are the Messiah, the Son
of the Blessed".

"And you say it rightly. Have I not proven who I am to
you by the miracles I have performed, which you have
seen with your very own eyes?"

"Y-Yes, Master. I have no doubt who You are."

Some other follower could speak up: "Nor do I, Master.
We will all do as You command, so that You and God
might be glorified on the earth".

"Well said, My son. Now, let me show you all how I
want you to get rid of that abominable Dome of the
Rock..."

And so this "Messiah", with a core cadre of obedient
followers, could bring about the destruction of the
Dome of the Rock.

But someone could say: "Wait a minute. You still
haven't shown how this false Orthodox Jewish 'Messiah'
and his followers, after they blow up the Dome of the
Rock, are going to be able to fight off all of the
enraged Muslim armies which you said will then invade
Israel, and under which armies you said even the
vaunted Israeli Defense Forces will end up crumbling".

What could happen is that while the Israeli Defense
Forces are totally busy trying and failing to fend
off the Muslim invasion, the well-armed Orthodox Jews
could be using all of their firepower to take over
the walled Old City of Jerusalem, which contains the
Temple Mount in which they will build the temple. They
could drive out all the Christians and Muslims and
non-Orthodox Jews, and cast out every non-kosher
thing, and then declare "the true state of Israel
restored", as in a city-state consisting of the Old
City of Jerusalem. They could institute Mosaic law,
build their temple, and restart the daily animal
sacrifices before the temple.

And when hordes of armed Muslim civilians come
screaming up to the gates of the Old City of Jerusalem
during their invasion of Israel, the Orthodox Jews
could fire down at them with thousands of machine guns
lined all long the top of the walls of the Old City.
The Muslim hordes could be kept at bay indefinitely.

But someone could say: "But what if the Muslims lay
siege to the Old City? Wouldn't the Orthodox Jews
eventually run out of water and food?".

Not necessarily. The Orthodox Jews could manage to
tap into wells. And they could have years-worth of
canned food all stored up and could clear areas
within the Old City in which to plant crops. They
could remain self-sufficient for years.

But someone could say: "Okay, but what about that
huge Iraqi Army you said was going to invade Israel?
Surely it could use its artillery and tanks and
mortars to break down the walls of the Old City".

That's assuming that its leader will want to. For
the leader of the Iraqi Army who could defeat Israel
(and then Egypt), as in Daniel 11:15-16, could be a
Baathist (in Daniel 11:17, the Hebrew word translated
as "daughter" is "bath"), and one not that interested
in religion. His true reason for invading Israel (and
then Egypt) could be to fulfill the Baathist goal of
uniting all Arab lands under a single confederation,
free from all Western hegemony.

So when he sees that he has defeated the state of
Israel and all that is left is the supremely well-
defended walled Old City of Jerusalem held by the
Orthodox Jews, he could not want to waste time or
resources on trying to take it, but could merely
leave a token force to "lay siege" to it while he
continues south with the vast bulk of his forces in
case he will need all of them to succeed in taking
Egypt.

And so the Orthodox Jews could be basically left
alone inside the walls of the Old City, happily
sacrificing before their temple and singing hymns
to the amazing God who has (as they could say)
"protected us and seen us through in carrying out His
will".

And the leader of the Iraqi Army will never come
back to take them out, for after he takes Egypt
(the armed forces of which could lay down their
arms and welcome him as a great hero for "throwing
Israel into the sea"), he could move on and take
other countries such as Libya and Tunisia, only
to be defeated when he tries to take Algeria
(cf. Daniel 11:18). When he tries to retreat he
will disappear from the scene (Daniel 11:19), maybe
in some sandstorm in the deserts of Libya.

And so the Orthodox Jews will rejoice for God's
delivering them from their enemy. And when he is
replaced by another Arab leader who dies after only a
few days (Daniel 11:20), the Orthodox Jews could think
that no doubt God has struck him down to prevent him
from attacking their City. But when he is replaced
by someone else (Daniel 11:21), another Arab leader,
they will get a rude awakening, for this new leader
(who will be the Antichrist, who could come out of
Lebanon) will come and attack them and succeed in
defeating them and their "Messiah" (Daniel 11:22).

But right when they will think that all is lost, the
Antichrist will surprise them by not killing any of
them or their "Messiah", but cutting a peace-treaty
with him (Daniel 9:26a, 11:23a), allowing the Messiah
and his followers to continue to offer their
sacrifices before the temple for at least seven more
years (Daniel 9:27a). It won't be until two or three
years later that the Antichrist will break the treaty,
stop the sacrifices, and sit in the temple and
proclaim himself God (Daniel 9:27b, 11:31,36;
2 Thessalonians 2:4).

But someone could say: "But why would the Antichrist
make that treaty with the false Messiah in the first
place? How would that benefit the Antichrist?"

The Antichrist will make the treaty with the false
Orthodox Jewish Messiah because it will benefit him
with regard to his reputation in the world. He will
no doubt use it as "proof" that he is (as he could
say) "a man of peace, who only wants to see through to
completion the rights of the Arab nation to determine
its own destiny, to become united into one great
confederation stretching from Dubai to Morocco. Surely
the generous Arab people have room for one little
enclave of Jews in the Old City of Jerusalem. We Arabs
are not a barbarous people. We do not want another
Holocaust. But we must insist that our Muslim
worshippers be allowed access to the Al Aqsa Mosque
at the southern end of the Temple Mount. The Jews can
build a wall between it and their temple if they so
wish, if they think that we are going to somehow
pollute their sacred site. But they must not fire at
us from the top at that wall simply because we want
to worship our God in our own way".

And so the world (as in the U.N. General Assembly)
could agree that (as they could say) "this man is a
reasonable, peace-loving man, a worthy leader of the
Arabs in their rightful quest for self-determination".
And Russia and China could veto any actions to (as
they could say) "undo what has happened with regard
to the former state of Israel and the former
government of Egypt. Clearly, the Israel experiment
was a colossal failure, causing more problems than it
could ever hope to solve, and if the Arab people
considered the former Egyptian government to be a mere
puppet of the U.S., then they certainly had the right
to install a different government of their own
choosing".

And so the U.S. could be balked by world opinion from
receiving any support for a "restoration of Israel and
the former duly-elected government of Egypt". Russia
could be invited by the Antichrist to flood his Arab
confedeation with military "advisors" to help train
a new confederation-wide Arab Army, and provide it
with huge amounts of military equipment to (as he
could say) "help equip the Arab confederation so that
it might defend itself from any attacks by those who
would refuse the Arabs the right to self-
determination".

And so the Antichrist will build his Arab Empire, and
then later join it with an oil-thirsty European Union
into one massive Mediterranean Union, a new Roman
Empire, from which massive base he will eventually
succeed in taking over the entire world (Revelation
13:7b).

And the way to this rise of the Antichrist to total
world power could first be paved when a little
Orthodox Jewish "Messiah" decides that it's time to
take out the Dome of the Rock and rebuild the temple.
