ahh then it's okay for the whites to riot and loot i suppose.
Who cares what color they are? What's race got to do with this?

Riots are not good regardless of who is involved. I suspect there isn't a lot of talk from the right because the riots are about taxes and spending. It has nothing to do with color.

Leaving aside the "Socialists!!!" dog whistle for a second, how exactly does that play out?
Well after I have a nice glass of warm milk I slide under a wonderfully warm quilt on a nice firm mattress....

Most of their demands are straight out of the BernieBros platform. Yes, they want gas taxes cut, but they also want taxes on the wealthy to be raised, and the institution of minimum and maximum wages.

Good point. So it sounds like it's mostly a socialist riot then.

You are ill informed. The original protest was by truck drivers due to a hike in Diesel (Gas Oil or Gaz Ole. It used to be the former but when a French governtment tried to stamp out Enlish words from the French language. It is pronounced something like Gazwol.) Diesel was about 75% of Petrol, Essence in French. It was raised fairly quickl till it was slightly more than sans plomb 95 and slightly less than sams plomb 98. I used to fill my diesel car in France as it was much cheaper there than here. But I don't now as when there is a difference, it is more in France. I think thye president reduced it some due to the protests, but I am not sure how much. I may be going for a day either the end of the week or next week, so I will let you know.

All the other protests were from anyone who had a grievance against the government joining in the protests. The Govt is extremely unpopular in France.
