White House chief of staff Mark Meadows has tested positive for coronavirus, according to two officials familiar with the matter, becoming the latest official in President Donald Trump's administration to become infected with the virus after a string of outbreaks in the West Wing.

Two other Trump staffers have also tested positive, officials said, lending further disquiet to an already-tense post-election White House.

Meadows, 61, told people after Tuesday's election that he had contracted Covid, but it wasn't clear when he first tested positive, according to the sources. In the past, he has appeared skeptical of coronavirus mitigation measures and has not often been seen wearing a mask.

Either that or he just doesn't want to be in the same room with Trump when he tells him the bad news.

There was a rumor being reported this weekend that several in the administration believe Pres. Trump should quit trying to fight the election and concede -- that the court cases will be "laughed" out of court and it is just hurting America to keep up the fight. The issue is, no one wanted to be the messenger to tell Pres. Trump. So, you might be right about Meadows deciding that if he had COVID he could get out of telling the President. ;)

At the same time, the rumors have claimed that it was decided it needed to be one of the President's children tell him it is over, he needs to concede. The most recent rumor is Jared is the one trying to tell him this. Apparently, he is the one that "lost" and hopes the President won't "kill" the messenger.

Note: Yes, this story is from anonymous sources within the Trump administration. I'm not claiming it is fact, much less that it is even important. Definitely won't be taking it to court to "prove" that the President needs to concede. Just kind of an interesting anecdote.

He's no rocket scientist, that's for sure!

Ben Carson says he used unproven COVID-19 treatment recommended by MyPillow CEO

Housing and Urban Development Secretary Ben Carson said in a new interview that he took oleander extract, an unapproved herbal supplement that has been promoted by the CEO of MyPillow, after contracting COVID-19.

The Washington Post reports Carson, a former neurosurgeon, said he took the extract after it was recommended by Mike Lindell. Lindell, who also served as President Trump's Minnesota campaign chairman, has a financial stake in the company that makes the extract, the Post notes.

Oleanders are, as almost everybody knows, poisonous plants. Do not use this dangerous snake oil.

“This is not a friendly plant ... don't go near this plant,” said Heinz, who added that he had to field calls about oleandrin poisoning while he staffed a poison control center hotline.
