  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Depends on how you define order and chaos. If you think of it in terms of thermodynamics, "chaos" is generally increasing, which would suggest that the farther back in time you go, the more "ordered" the universe is.
If you guys want to talk yourselves out of voting, that's fine.

How about talk yourselves out of not resonding then too, please?

Just a suggestion. :)

I think it's a valid point. Besides, conversation surrounding a question is often as enlightening and enjoyable as the conclusions themselves :)

I think it's especially important for people to discuss their deliberations when there are opposition beliefs, especially beliefs as significantly different as the both of yours.

I go with the point Sarah made about thinking in terms of thermodynamics.

That is, from an orderly system towards disorder.

It is "order" and "chaos", and they don't necessarily reference whether the universe itself appears "orderly" or not. After all, right after the Big Bang there wouldn't have been collections of matter into stars, planets, galaxies, etc.; it would have essentially just been a bunch of matter moving away from one basic point. The overall "disorder" may be continually increasing, but that doesn't mean there aren't more concentrated, "greater" points of "order" amongst the increasing "chaos".

Given that both terms are really in regards to how energy behaves, they both would have come into existence at roughly the same time.

How about you not ask loaded questions.

Have you stopped beating your wife? Yes or no?

You ask a question and you use words that can have many different meanings.

Why do you get upset when people ask for clarification?
When I read your "challenge", that was my first thought as well... "what do you mean by 'order and chaos'"?

Exactly, If we look at the floor of the stock exchange what we will see is chaos with everyone shouting and waving their arms, but to those who know the stock exchange they will see order.
