  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Depends on how you define order and chaos. If you think of it in terms of thermodynamics, "chaos" is generally increasing, which would suggest that the farther back in time you go, the more "ordered" the universe is.
Hmm so the puppet master say so.

If you guys want to talk yourselves out of voting, that's fine.

How about talk yourselves out of not responding then too, please?

Just a suggestion. :)
haha that's exactly what I noticed too AV.

How about you not ask loaded questions.

Have you stopped beating your wife? Yes or no?
Did you just say that? I heard that back in pre-school. Oh Lord please help him!

Thank you, my brother!

As regards your picture, the part about "Call Jesus Christ anytime" ...

If anyone asks you for His number, I tell'em it's Jeremiah 333.

Jeremiah 33:3 Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.

;)

Your welcome brother ;)

Ah I see now. Yes the picture 'Jesus I.D'. I did that a while back, I thought I added it to my profile pic? Not sure why its not showing or unless only me who can't see it? Interesting, I noticed everyone's signature too. I want to add one, I should be able to figure it out.

Nice spotting thanks, yes Jeremiah 33:3 is perfect :)

I don't think this question makes much sense. Since everything that exists possesses a specific identity and acts in accordance with that identity, how could there ever be chaos?

Chaos gets a bad rap. People think it's capricious behavior, when in reality it is simply non-computable behavior. For instance, the two-body problem has a precise solution, the three-body problem does not. A system of three independent objects with inertia attracting each other cannot be predicted with respect to their positions. Their behavior is chaotic, but not random.

Their behavior is both chaotic and random. There is no pattern, purpose or objective, thus random.

Random is non-computable because two elements are decoupled. You have a modulo 100 counter, and you can stop it by pressing a button. Your decision to stop it is absolutely decoupled from the counter, so the results you get (a digit between 00 and 99) is random. But chaotic is non-computable because of complexity. There's no decoupling.

The point was, chaos is random.

No, chaos and randomness are non-computable. This is precisely why we call a function that attempts to return a random number pseudo-random... because you cannot decouple one piece of an computable algorithm from itself.

Ok, chaos and randomness are non-computable. That doesn't change the fact that chaos is random.

The point is, distinction or not, chaos is random.
Seriously, when you've been told something 3 times in a row it is quite extraordinary that you keep coming back with these ill-educated assertions.

If you really don't understand the difference between chaotic and random then go do some learning. A simple google search will get you several links explaining that chaos is not random.

Well, it takes less energy for chaos to happen than order. The universe favors entropy - which is the inclination towards chaos, so going by this alone order would come first. But at the same time, chaos could have been first and a source of energy then made it orderly. So then it would be chaos, order, then an incline towards chaos with spurts of order because there's energy in the universe that makes everything all nice and neat again.
