I would heavily disagree that just because Jojo is violent means "it sucks", some of the best pieces of on-screen fiction I've ever experienced have been violent, and I prefer media that don't pull their punches. But that's just me, and I realize that opinion isn't shared by everyone. Cowboy Bebop is indeed great though, in my top three for sure.

Hey, at least we like Cowboy Bebop. Jojo just has animal abuse, as well as sexual overtones, which I can not stand as a Christian man.

Woo, Yu Yu Hakusho is awesome. What is .hack all about? Do you like Serial Experiments Lain? It is a sci-fi anime about computers.

Hello it's good to meet you, I saw a lot of your posts before I made an account. The .hack series mostly takes place in an online game called The World. A lot of crazy things happen on there involving rogue AIs and other mysterious things, I don't really know how to describe it well.
Yes I have seen Lain! I used to watch it when it aired on TV as a kid, but I ended up watching the entire thing a few years ago. Crazy stuff lol. I will have to give Lain a rewatch soon

I'm not lol. Tohko is just my favorite character from the light novel series Book Girl by Mizuki Nomura.
I def recommend .hack! Also your pic really makes me want to finally watch Cowboy Bebop.. I've slept on that series for far too long..

Haha, yeah, Cowboy Bebop is good stuff. Watched it during the second half of 2023 on my DVD player, cos my library has free DVD loans.

.hack//SIGN is one of the first animes to explore MMOs. It reminds me of the earlier days of the internet, where it felt more like a mysterious fantasy world rather than an extension of the real world post-Facebook. Back then the fun was enjoying the fantasy together rather than relating everything back to grounded reality. It's more character focused rather than action heavy like Sword Art Online.

Trigun. First I watched the spanish dub on Cartoon Network. I have fond memories of those times, when I was in middle school and I'd stay late at night to watch the toonami block (from 0 to 4 am). Trigun was fairly late, I think, 2:30 am if I recall correctly. Five or six years later I watched the show again but in japanese with subtitles, and I liked it even more. It's such a great show. Maybe it's time for a 3rd run?

Kaiji, I watched the show twice. It's good, similar to Squid Game but with less violence. I'd say it's better than Squid Game.

Death Note. I can't remember why I watched it again, but it's an easy show to binge.

Other shows that I watched multiple times, but because there on tv and the repeated forever: Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Digimon, Card Captor Sakura, Corrector Yui.

I watched the first season, and a bit of the second. The "litrpg" elements and tonal whiplash(a probably the whole medium suffers from quite a lot) put me off quite a bit, but the concept of Goblin Slayer's character is very compelling.
