In this regard I am a Federalist.
Spotted bass (variart of large mouth)
here is a striped bass
Paul did not share your view. Guess he didn't get to watch TV.The Adam and Eve legend is simply that; a metaphorical story about obedeience to God. There was no more a real, single Adam and Eve than Andy Griffith was really a sheriff is a small Appalacian town.
Most Christians know and accept this. The concept otherwise is a recent concoction of religious fundamentalism only accepted by a minority of Christians in the last 150 years.
Think about it: God made people, gays are people God made gay people.
tulc(we can always use the help!)
Thanks for the reprieve.
Yep you do not have to be a parent to be a human. And humans are the product of the Creator's design. Cool beans.
I said I was a Federalist regarding the transmission of the taint of sin to Adam's posterity. You are describing a realist view which is different from the federalist view.
Three views:
Pelagian View People incur death when they sin after Adam's example. Sin affected Adam alone. No one affected by Adam's sin.
Federal (Representative) View Sin is imputed to humanity because of Adam's sin. Adam alone sinned but human race affected because he is their representative. Depravity is total; sin and guilt are imputed.
Augustinian (Realist) View Sin is imputed to humanity because of Adam's sin. Humanity sinned in Adam (they were in Adam's loins"). Depravity is total; sin and guilt are imputed.
is the "flaw" of same-sex desire any worse than any other "sin"
No worse than hetero-sexual lust outside the covenant of marriage.
Why doesn't the creation story record the creation of physical race? (Babel doesn't count - invention of language isn't the same).
Why "lust"?
We call it something else when young heterosexual people who fall in love with honorable intentions -- but no matter what the homosexual relationship is, it can seemingly only be characterized as "lust"? Why is this?
26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. 27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion.

Documentation ???
Think about it: God made people, nose pickers are people God made people who choose to pick their nose.

The concept Adam and Eve's eating the fruit was the creation of sin in the universe is as valid as the idea Frankenstein can't be killed, that Batman became the Batman because he was inspired because he saw a bat fly by, or that Bugs Bunny is a real rabbit who tricks hunters with propensities to articulation errors.
One is natural the other unnatural.
Paul used Adam as a metaphor.
Anything not approved by fundamentalism. Thought being among those things...
Oh really...
