You Preterists do not read verses properly. One word jumps out in a sentence. You then jump to conclusions about one word, and you quote it out of context. Rev 1:9 mentions tribulation. You immediately jumped to the wrong definition. John, an apostle, meant the day-to-day persecution for witnessing about Jesus Christ.Rev 1:9 tells me they were in the tribulation. What takes place with regards to the seven churches are Christ's admonitions, warnings and encouragement while they're going through the tribulation. What I don't see taking place is their being taken out of the world in complete contradiction to Christ's prayer in John 17:15I do not ask that you take them out of the world, but that you keep them from the evil one. 16They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world....20“I do not ask for these only, but also for those who will believe in me through their word,...
It's like Jesus said: "my words will never pass away"
Colossians 3:20Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, 21to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
Isaiah 9:
6For unto us a child is born,
unto us a son is given,
and the government will be upon His shoulders.
And He will be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
7Of the increase of His government and peace
there will be no end.
He will reign on the throne of David (Acts 2:29-36)
and over his kingdom,
to establish and sustain it
with justice and righteousness
from that time and forevermore.
The zeal of the LORD of Hosts will accomplish this.
The Tribulation is Daniel’s 70th week. Daniel 9:27 is proof that it’s only a 7-year period. The 21 judgments of God’s wrath have not started and when they do, they will last only seven years. That 7-year period has not yet started. 1 Th 5:2-3 and Rev 6 have not yet occurred.
The verses you cited are about the disciples wanting to go to Heaven with Jesus, upon His ascension (Acts 1:9-10). Jesus let them know that won’t happen, and that they can’t get to Heaven on their own power.
In 2 Kings 2:11, how did Elijah get to Heaven? By God’s power.
In Rev 11:12, how will the 2W (Two Witnesses) get to Heaven after their resurrection? By God’s power.
In 1 Th 4:16-17, we are raptured to Heaven — by God’s power. Rev 4:1 is the pre-Trib rapture of the Church. All manner of details about the rapture is covered in the verses above and these verses: John 14:3, 1 Th 1:10, Ezek 14:21, 1 Cor 15:52 and Rev 3:10. They all are about or have some related details about the pre-Trib rapture.
Rev 1-3 have occurred, being about the seven letters to the seven churches, and the writing of Revelation. Rev 4-21 have not yet occurred.
