Actually, it depends on the perspective you take. I do not look at scripture as if I was with them in the congregation. I look at scripture as if I live in the 21st Century, having the gifts given by my Lord and Master, Jesus Christ. These gifts include things like Science and the solar eclipse. All good things and with tools like these, how can we not figure out what God is saying to us here today, in the 21st xCentury.

I don't understand how/why you could think the earth is flat. There are many high res photos/videos of the earth from space(and that area just below space) clearly indicating it's not flat. Here's one

Also I think Hell since it's part of the spiritual world can be as large as it needs to be without us in the physical world being aware of its presence. As far as its location, it could be in the center of the earth or anywhere God wants it.

NO one knows for sure where "Hell" is. However, NOT knowing something, has never meant that it does not exist. This is where "atheist" stumble badly. Also, the bible does not tell us (at least directly) where Hell is; however there MIGHT be some clues in symbolic ways:

1. satan is bound in a "bottomless pit" (See verses below)

2. It is also called an "abyss".

3. It is called a "burning lake of fire and brimstone"

4. It is called "outer darkness"

What do these words mean? Well it could mean anything. And there are "many" theories concerning what and where it is.

I too have wondered, and pondered it for over 75 yrs where it is. Since I have been a "born again Christian" for 75 yrs, I have wondered about where hell is. And yes I have a theory too:

I believe it just MIGHT be in the middle of planet earth. IF that is true; and no one can say with any credible evidence that I am right or wrong; it would not surprise me IF that was revealed on "Judgment Day". Where ALL humans who have ever existed will stand before Jesus and be judged. OH indeed yes! Then he will cast the lost (NON born again) into hell; while giving ALL (born again) a 100% pardon; lest we be cast into hell also.

Matthew 10:28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish (in hell), but have everlasting life.

So IF "hell" is in the middles of the earth, it would be a perfect place for it. For what is the temperature of molten "lava"? And how horrible a place would that be?

Revelation 20:10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. Revelation 20:11 And I saw a great white throne (Judgment Day), and him (Jesus-Almighty God) that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. Revelation 20:12 And I saw the dead (that are now resurrected), small and great, stand before God (Jesus); and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead (that are now resurrected and alive) were judged out of those things which were written in the books ("Book of Life" and "Book of deeds"), according to their works*. Revelation 20:13 And the sea gave up (also) the dead which were in it; and death and (the grave) delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works*. Revelation 20:14 And death and hell (the grave) were cast into the lake of fire (hell). This is the second death. Revelation 20:15 And whosoever was not found* written in the book of life was cast into the lake of (hell) fire.

Note: The "book of life" was written by God BEFORE creation. The "book of deeds" has been written every day since creation. Yet they are BOTH 100% identical. Believe it or not. These two books then WILL be used as "2 witnesses" AND" testimony" to ALL that has ever happened, good and bad.

Think about it!

* Works means "good" and "bad" deeds throughout life. Since we ALL sin all the time, ALL are judged guilty as charged. However those that received the new "birth" (born again); WILL UN-deservedly receive a 100% pardon; even though ALL deserve to go to hell. Believe it or not. Those that did not receive the "new birth" will be cast into a burning lake of fire (Hell).

Note: "Born Again" (John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be "born again", he cannot see the kingdom of God.), is a miracle performed by the Holy Spirit; which baptizes a person's soul AND circumcises their heart. This creates a NEW birth, but NOT flesh related. Rather spirit related. And this miracle was available to EVERY person who will ever have lived. Believe it or not.

John 3:6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. This means that our fleshly being is separate to our spiritual being. The spiritual being goes to Heaven and the flesh is cast into hell on judgment day, since it is a worthless, wretched and filled with all manner of abominable sin. Jesus WILL cleanse this completely Before we are permitted to enter the "New" heaven.

Isaiah 1:18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet (Abominable), they shall be (cleansed) white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool (pure).

Hebrews 8:12 For I will be merciful (pardoning) to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities (abominations) will I remember no more.

A person receives this spiritual birth, by believing in the TRUE God of Abraham who was manifest IN the flesh 2,000 yrs ago. (1 Timothy 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was "manifest in the flesh", justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.) Thus why the following verse is called "The most precious verse". Incidentally it was retroactive to any one that had ever lived. Oh indeed yes. This due to the fact that the voice of Jesus was ALWAYS there, since creation, and heard by ALL; but most sadly turned a deaf ear to it.

As i type this it is 4:45 pm or 16:45 here in England and it is pitch black. In America where you are the time is different.

Honestly I don't think it truly is within their capabilities, if they were all in on such a big conspiracy it would have been exposed a long time ago. Also you have to factor in motivation, most of the time money is the reason people deceive, and I highly doubt these documentary etc...shows are getting payed to doctor video/images of the earth. You're talking about thousands and thousands of people involved in various movies, tv shows, presentations, satellite imagery, space shuttles, etc... trying to keep a secret with that many is nearly impossible, someone, somewhere with a moral compass would have spoken up. The earth is clearly not flat, i'm sorry but it's not. We've had airplanes and ships that have transcended the globe, and if there were any chance at all the earth were flat they would have reached an end.

I think more appropriately, saying reality we see or space-time is flat is more accurate, thus the effect of gravity around objects. There is no doubt that the physical world is round, thus creation outward in all directions. God's Laws are perfect and consistent. Everything is closed on this side of the vail, and yes the same vail that represents the separation between the outer sanctuary of God's Temple and the Holy of Holies in God's Temple. What is "technically" flat is the vail that separates the realities since it flows like a stream of perfect music through time. Though it is flat, it is flat in all directions. Interestingly, physicists are starting to realize this truth as well, through String and M Theory, though many can't understand the other side of that vail since it is beyond understanding short of faith.

You do know those are not definitive, right? Sorry. People have been there by the hundreds. There are thousands of satellites ORBITING the earth and orbit is physically impossible on a flat earth. Besides that, you haven't explained why a triangle drawn between three cities across the planet don't have angles equalling the euclidean rule of flat triangles having 180 degrees of angles.

The pictures Red Bull and SpaceX and every idiot who can get hold of a cheap camera and a weather balloon or simply climb into an airplane can get show it without any editing. And so I'm going to guarantee there was editing on your videos, since they were designed and performed by people with a vested interest in proving your theory, while nobody in the real scientific field gives a flying flip that your theory exists. They don't use your math. They don't secretly control all those people who go to Antarctica.

I'll be quite frank, there is zero evidence of a flat earth. Zero. It's just tin foil hat nonsense. There is nothing really controversial about it. The controversy is the same as antivaxxers who think it's nice to put MY health at risk in real life because of the IMAGINED health risks they make up. It's not because there is any disagreement in REAL science. It's that people want to make a controversy out of nothing.

You want to prove the earth is flat? go to the edge of the earth and take a picture of it. There's enough of you guys to go make it happen. But you can't. I will accept NOTHING short of you taking a physical picture of the edge of the earth. I want the picture to be taken within 2 meters of the edge of the earth. Do not tell me you have proof the earth is flat without PROOF. People say the earth is spherical and then they went out there and saw it with their own eyes.

Edit: notice the curve of the wing on the plane in your video? That's a fixed wing aircraft with straight edged wings. The wing shouldn't curve like it does in the video. That's empirical evidence that your video was altered using video editing software to give a false impression of a flat horizon.

What I am saying is that it is unreasonable to think that the purpose of the Bible is to teach you astrophysics, geography, cosmology. The Bible is our primary record of the revelation of God in Human History. It is about the author of creation rather than the order of creation. Don't send your children to school thinking that the Bible is the only textbook they need to pass exams, and don't think that because the Bible doesn't answer these questions that the Bible does not have much for us.

The faith of the Church is about hope, about a new tomorrow, about a coming kingdom, it is about a path of trust in God, inner strength, truth, and love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control.

In my view on this blue planet, the tiny dot in the expanding universe, the round earth, hell is where there is no hope, no new tomorrow, no coming kingdom, no path of truth in God, no inner strength, no truth, no love, no joy, no peace, no patience, no kindness, no goodness, no faithfulness, no gentleness, and no self control.

You can find hell wherever you happen to be in a round earth, or you can reach out to the one who is always reaching out to us, as depicted so poignantly by Michelangelo in the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel, or so powerfully in the Statue of Christ the Redeemer overlooking Rio De Janeiro, or so encompassingly in the arms of Jesus stretch out upon the Cross, and in the Spirit of God moving nearer to us that the breath we take.
