I’m using the word fear to mean an unpleasant often strong emotion caused by anticipation or awareness of danger; or anxious concern.

Who said men are all knowing?
As we are talking about Genesis 1 this implies that the Bible is the word of men. I agree.

One should take the book as a whole. Better to be honest.
OT was a whole before Jesus appearance. You inserted Jesus in Genesis 1, not me. There are enough characters without a story in OT. But you have story without a character and you insert Jesus, as if it is the only option. And you said you read it literally. If you ask a Jew living before the time of Jesus will he also insert Jesus in that gap?

Prove it?
Says....who??
I already did it. 459
Read what God said marked with green and blue and what He did marked with green only.
Genesis (1:26-27) for those who didn't pay attention.

I was talking about all relevant to us knowledge.
Do you say that God omitted to tell us we were created in His likeness, because it was irrelevant?
Do you say that God didn't tell us that Jesus was there (as you seem to think), because it was also irrelevant?

No, I didn’t miss it. It just isn’t the sense in which I was using the word. I was pointing out how religions use fear and anxiety to promote compliance with their teachings. You quoted Proverbs 1:7. If you read the rest of that chapter, you will see that the fear being promoted is not awe, but anxiety. Here’s how it ends.

Proverbs 1:24-33
Notice how it warns of desolation, destruction, distress, anguish and slaying if you don’t follow the teachings of the Christian religion. Notice how the last line offers safety and protection from fear if people believe what Christianity tells them. Religions use fear and anxiety to promote compliance with their teachings.

You said there were
" knowledge gaps in Genesis 1".
No verse is meant to contain all knowledge. That is ridiculous.

Even the early Hebrew used the plural form of the word. The details of who it was came later, regardless of what a Jew or anyone else might think. The gap is mostly in your thinking.

Childish. Never heard such a lame so called point.

Ge 1:26 -And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. Doesn't look all the "omitted" to me!

Do you say that God didn't tell us that Jesus was there (as you seem to think), because it was also irrelevant?
He did. You thinking it all had to be in the same time, and verse is what threw you.

This would be true - if God existed. We've no evidence that She does.

I said "all relevant knowledge", not "all knowledge". Can you read?

Even the early Hebrew used the plural form of the word. The details of who it was came later, regardless of what a Jew or anyone else might think. The gap is mostly in your thinking.
It is in plural form, but it seems you put Jesus in that plural. It is you, not the Bible. Where is the verse that tells us Jesus was present during the creation? Maybe you are a prophet, aren't you?

Childish. Never heard such a lame so called point.
Putting labels will not dismiss a point.

Indeed, now find the confirmation of it in the next verse. As you know, everything claimed by God must be confirmed, otherwise the book could be written by mortal men.

He did. You thinking it all had to be in the same time, and verse is what threw you.
This is because anyone will be able to write a book that will "confirm" OT and then claim Godness. The proper way to prevent this happening is to mention Jesus in Genesis 1. It is not that much to add.

Please show me where this is in your Holy Handbook.
You have to ask a question like that, when God is called "Father", "He", "Him" and "His" all throughout the Scriptures?

This is an excellent example of how you guys try so hard not to understand, you make yourselves look silly.

So God is a male with a penis and gonads. Good to know.
