If the Koran was so clear then why are there so many different translations...all saying radically different things in the same ayah?

Which translation do you follow?

Yusuf Ali....Pickthal.....Omar....Sale...Ahmed....etc, etc, etc...

I follow the original Arabic and yeah as you have pointed those are translations.The quran cannot be properly translated.However the bible has different versions with books added and books removed and also full verses added or removed, words changed completely from version to version,entirely different story from a translation of the quran that is using the nearest possible word the translator deems fit according to his understanding.At the end of the day we go back to the original arabic. Not a lost Hebrew or kone greek that no one understands nor an aramaic that has disappeared.

It is a world of difference like night and day.here is an example from the bible where verses have been added and removed:
Mark 16.19 is not included in the two oldest complete manuscripts of the Gospel of Mark: The Codex Vaticanus and The Code Sinaiticus. THE ECUMENICAL TRANSLATION.

It already was when the authors of the Koran translated the Biblical Hebrew and Greek into Arabic.

Don't forget that the authors of the Koran never once state that the Arabic of their opus was ever divinely inspired.

Only the Holy Bible makes this claim.

Since the authors of the Koranic opus tell us that they merely copied the Holy Bible, what parts then do you trust with all your heart?

At the end of the day we go back to the original arabic.

Unfortunately, there is no "original" Arabic.
