Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

This is tough because like Squeakers, a lot has changed in the past year that I never saw coming. However, if all things continue as they are now I think I can make an accurate prediction.

In 5 years I will most likely be teaching while starting to get my M.A.Ed through a few evening courses. I would love to continue to teach the same grade, but if I am able to stay with this grade for 5 years that would be lucky. I will most likely have just settled into teaching a new grade.

I would love to say that I would be married with kids and a white picket fence, but the idea is tiring and let's be honest, a tad unrealistic.
So I will probably be single, just more planted in different areas of my community to keep me busy. Hopefully I will have bought my first home and will be enjoying working and renovating it. Ooo maybe I'll adopt a dog.

although teaching isn't my area of expertise I would love to teach English in Japan through the Jet Programme. Have you heard of it?

hmm, next 5 years? Am expecting to see many projects and goals completed. It's an exciting time for me with a lot going on. It would be nice to find the perfect gal and marry but, have my doubts. It's in the Lords hands. It should have happened by now and came close a few times. Family? well, that too depends on finding the right gal. Have considered adopting but, would like to 'make' my own. Wanting to stay healthy and keep enjoying life, serving more and growing my faith further. Land is paid off, My big building/shop should be up within a year. Have more than I deserve, not much to complain about. Almost compltely out of all debt and very happy about that. See no need to borrow again unless an emergency. Normally live a cash life and working on building reserves. Retirement in place for down the road use.

Everything is always NOW to me. And I build my chain one link at a time, so where I end up is where I'll always be. And that's now.

There's no such thing as the future. Only the past, present and the realm outside of space time - where God is.

Basically what I'm saying is, I don't know. I used to relish a question like this five years ago but I soon learned that life doesn't work to a schedule.

In terms of my career, I don't see myself changing jobs in five years as I've found one that I enjoy and pays well enough for me to live comfortably. Ideally, I'd like to be married, but right now I think I'm setting my sights a bit lower and aiming for having had a relationship that lasts longer than a month as I just can't seem to get beyond a handful of dates.

I hope to have a small business and to keep a flexible schedule that allows me to travel for leisure. I also hope to have a starter house or at least be well on my way to saving up for the down payment.
