That would be really special if anyone out there had actually divined the words of a god. What you have is the Bible and the Koran and the Torah and all that other namelmarb that you claim is the "word of God" but is actually a bunch of stories passed down from men to other men. No gods were ever involved in any of it. Men. And more men. All men claiming higher sources for their holy books. You're so certain. But there's nothing at all superior about any of these holy books. They're so contextual to the time. Slavery, murder, sexual perversion, multiple wives and the usual hosts of mythical creatures.

You might get away with saying it's the story of people who interacted with their god... but you have to take it to ridiculous proportions. "It's literally true, all of it." No, it's not. And just saying it's true doesn't make it so.

But you are hurting us. All of us. Because you try to destroy the actual pursuit of knowledge. It wasn't enough that you took science down for 1500 years when nobody could question anything because of the Christian church. No... you're at it again.

Ignorance should NOT be tolerated just because it's cloaked in religion.

Read the history of the posts, then you know who its referring to. This is a continuation of a conversation between Bex and I. She made a statement that another poster claimed that the entire Bible is fact. I was responding to that.

Most I know believe the Bible to be the inerrant, accurate, inspired word of God. (I say most because TE's think that Genesis is a myth like a condensed movie)

This is a huge topic, but for an easy portion take Job for example, while this is an accurate factual recording, it contains some lies (Jobs friends lies) the lies are not factual, but the record is factual. - does that make sense?




Absolutely, Sola Scriptura, if it is not Scriptural, it is not Biblical and therefore an invalid faith position.

Stepping outside of this can lead to all sorts of heresies such as the idolatry that Catholics indulge in when they worship the statue of Mary.



Yes I do refer to them being Abrahamic, and also that the Islamic do not consider the Bible fantasy. Their own faith is rooted in a twisted demented version of OT scriptures and insane ramblings of Mohommed. They are (for the most part) fully aware of these connections.

Also like I said, their opinion doctrinally differs in that they deny the deity of Christ, but they do not consider the Bible fantasy....

mmm....both blessings and curses come out of your mouth.

How do you know they are worshipping Mary? Can you read their hearts?

For idolatry to exist they would have to believe that that statue is a God and I don't know any one who thinks that.

I could make the same mistake of spreading the lie that all Sola Scriptura Christians commit idolatry by worshipping the Bible and prefer a relationship with a book, rather than a real relationship with Yeshua the Living Breathing Word of God.

But I won't spread that lie, because:

1. I know that it is not true
2. It is unchristlike, we must try hard to discipline our tongues
3. It's unconstructive in that it divides Christians which makes the Devil happier
4. I don't like gossip and spreading mistruth and;
5. I personally know many Sola Scriptura Christians who are great Christians. We just worship differently and agree to disagree on some doctrines. They have never accused me of not being a Christian and vice versa.

I don't limit Yeshua's teachings to words in a book. Not everything he taught, said or did is in the Bible and he never wrote anything down. He taught by example and orally to the Apostles and they taught orally until they realised he was not coming back in their lifetime and wrote down their memoirs.

For me, the Bible (word of God) will always be inferior to Yeshua ( the living breathing Word of God made flesh).

On the Muslim question I would agree that Muslims do not consider the Bible fantasy.
