No -- they believe that, and are trying to project their interpretation on to us.Am I to believe Isaiah was talking about a flat circle earth?
Can you explain how you come to this interpretation? No -- they believe that, and are trying to project their interpretation on to us.
If we accepted their interpretations of the Bible, we'd be out hunting witches, marching off on some crusade, or trying people by ordeal.
I would say Isaiah was referring to what is now called the Arctic circle.
Ever heard of the Arctic circle? Can you explain to me how you interpret that verse to exclusively refers to a round earth (orb shaped)?
Because scientists & atheists like to use that passage to claim the Bible speaks of a flat earth. Can you explain how you come to this interpretation?
Yes. Had the writer?Ever heard of the Arctic circle?
So you interpret it one way because the other way to spite the scientists and atheists?Because scientists & atheists like to use that passage to claim the Bible speaks of a flat earth.
He doesn't need to; he's just the secretary.Yes. Had the writer?
Just exercising my right to have an opinion; in the face of those who want to set us back to the dark ages.Even if he had knowledge of the arctic circle, how are you so sure he referred to that?
Not to spite them; but their opinions are important to me, as I value them in deciding which way to go sometimes with an interpretation or opinion. So you interpret it one way because the other way to spite the scientists and atheists?
I go by what the verse says, if it can be interpreted another way, then I go to Plan B, which is basic doctrine. You don't have any independent interpretation?
The Bible never says that the Earth is flat. That is just something the Darwinists made up to discredit God's Word.Because scientists & atheists like to use that passage to claim the Bible speaks of a flat earth.
Rubbish. The Bible never says that the Earth is flat. That is just something the Darwinists made up to discredit God's Word.
The Joey Bot is back. Ok, so didn't Job talk about dinosaurs, or where they just elephants with fat tails?Rubbish.

KittyPryde, I think this is the first time I see posts of you. I'm very pleased to meet you.I saw a video where Ken Hovin said that behemoth was a dinosAUR.
He made a very convincing argument for it.
Given that it's Kent Hovind, I'm sceptical, to say the least.I saw a video where Ken Hovin said that behemoth was a dinosAUR.
He made a very convincing argument for it.
Sure, if you cannot come up with more reasonable interpretations. What are the two ways? A round earth (orb shape) or a flat-circle earth (pancake shape)?
Fair enough. He doesn't need to; he's just the secretary.
Even the angels didn't understand some of the things being written ...
1 Peter 1:12 Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into.
... not to mention Peter ...
2 Peter 3:16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.
Fair enough.Just exercising my right to have an opinion; in the face of those who want to set us back to the dark ages.
Good that it's not in all cases. Not to spite them; but their opinions are important to me, as I value them in deciding which way to go sometimes with an interpretation or opinion.
For the most part, if a scientist or an atheist is against it, I'm all for it; there are exceptions though.
Fair enoughI go by what the verse says, if it can be interpreted another way, then I go to Plan B, which is basic doctrine.
If basic doctrine doesn't address it, then I feel I'm free to make a supposition.
Speaking of videos! JoeyArnold has VIDEOS on YouTube!
Clearly not a bot!
