  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Anyone else had this experience?

With my history I'd kinda like to hear lots of stories of women whose babies were growing when they weren't. Every time I go for a scan I'm certain that the tech will say that bubs isn't growing and I've got one coming up so I'm extra nervous.
I had to get an extra ultrasound at about 34 weeks with my second pregnancy because my measurements were dropping off. Turns out, my hips were spreading and my baby was settling down farther. He was growing just fine!

Glad everything is going well - you might have a longer gestation period, like me. Look at Anna - 13 days over a 7lbs. And even Angus - 17 days over and 8lb 5oz.

We can hope. But it seems unlikely to me as one of the results of my condition is preterm labour.;) The stupid condition puts us at all sorts of risks like that, but I don't care because there is a good chance that bubs will make it out alive now that I'm being treated. I don't really care what we have to go through to get there.

*I* could tell I was pregnant from about 12-14 weeks. I don't think anyone else could until I past 20.
That's the way it's going for me.
I'm only just putting on weight as of the last visit which was 3 weeks ago tomorrow.

I'm only wearing some maternity clothes, most are too big for me. I'd lost weight before becoming pregnant, so those clothes are fitting... and I got a few new things, but I will have to take them in a bit, they just totally swim on me.

I carry more in than out it seems, and baby is measuring larger by one week at the least on each visit we make. I lost 3 kilos I think it was, in the first trimester from what I was originally and I'm just now starting to peak at my early pregnancy weight again.

I walk every Mon-Friday for 30 minutes in the morning and 30 in the afternoon, so I know I'm only gaining weight for the baby right now.
I've been eating rather healthy portions, but I have been eating sweets lately too. . . I just think it has to do more with how I'm built than the baby not growing or me not doing something "enough".
The OB/GYN has been really pleased with my progress, even though he doubted that I had gestational diabetes and the tests came back negative... so I guess I'm "all clear" in his book for the next month or so... we'll see Thursday.
