I do not wish to offend you with my forthright opinion, so please don't credit me with an offence for my opinionation.
I'm not offended. I see God's army as having a variety of
military occupational specialties (just as modern armies do).* And they are all welcome and needed. Paul put it this way,
" Having then
gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us,
let us use them: if prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith; or ministry,
let us use it in
our ministering; he who teaches, in teaching; he who exhorts, in exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence;
he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness." Romans 12:6-8
*In the Old Testament, every soldier carried a sword and a shield, but some would be additionally skilled at archery, the sling, as horsemen & charioteers, etc. I see that as being analogous to being many parts, though one body.
"To everything
there is a season,
A time for every purpose under heaven:
A time to be born, And a time to die;
A time to plant, And a time to pluck
what is planted;
A time to kill, And a time to heal;
A time to break down, And a time to build up;
A time to weep, And a time to laugh;
A time to mourn, And a time to dance;
A time to cast away stones, And a time to gather stones;
A time to embrace, And a time to refrain from embracing;
A time to gain, And a time to lose;
A time to keep, And a time to throw away;
A time to tear, And a time to sew;
A time to keep silence, And a time to speak;
A time to love, And a time to hate;
A time of war, And a time of peace."
Ecclesiastes 3:1-8
