When/Where You Write...

So? Go ahead and vote! Posting: favorite place/time to write? Least favorite?

I voted for night, because that's usually when I get time. The 'mixture' was a close second, because I write whenever I can.

I write whenever, wherever. Class is a good time, so is bedtime, so is the morning, so is....whenever I have ideas

Just about always at night because I'm a night owl who works best then also don't normally get any peace and quite to write until at night.

I write whenever my muse decides to grace me with its presence. This is usually during Chemistry or Math class, during work, or late at night when everyone else is in bed and all I can hear is my pencil scratching against the paper while my pug snores loudly...

For some reason, I get the best ideas for my writing when I am dead tired...it is so weird! So its either in the early morning or late at night that I write. It can be very annoying though, because I will be exhausted and want to sleep, but I know that if I go to sleep, I will never remember what I wanted to write.

shamefully, i wrote mostly during the day while in class. my writing has slowed to a near stop now since i don't get a lot of free time and what free time i do have, i spend sleeping.

I get the most enjoyment from writing at the end of the day, near the end of the year, when it's growing dark, and everything is going to sleep for the winter.

It's especially good if there's a fire in the fireplace.

Same here The most terrible part about it is, things with numbers don't come easily to me, so full concentration is usually a must.... but it rarely happens.

lol....I''m guilty of that too. Actually, it seems that the only school-related time my muse is quiet is during my writing class. Does anybody else see the irony in that?

How frustrating! It's like how whenever I have the time to work on my story, I'll sit down to it, and...and...

...turns out my muse went to Bertucci's.

I think my writing prof is so intense he scares her away. Seriously. I got 7 pages of notes from his lecture on "The Mythic Hero and Postmodernism" last night, and that was only half the class!
