Women have value beyond being a mother. Why is it that being a mother should be her primary identity but a father can identify primarily as he pleases? As a doctor, lawyer, mechanic, electrician before ever mentioning he is a father?

To hear you tell it, sure. What I see is a man (?) who is afraid he isn't better than somebody else. Your sense of self depends on an idea, a conception of what you would like to be- a man. And, you're afraid because without that image you don't know what you are. Of course, you don't even come close to the image or you wouldn't care. But, you do, which iis a sign of weakness, very unmanly. You could be strong in your own self, but you're not. Instead, someone must be less than you. It's very sad. Hugs?
