  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Well thanks for your questions. Once again. Nobody believes in a literal actual physical beast. So why believe in a literal actual physical Christian conquering figure. The Beast of the sea symbolizes the Pagan Roman Empire. Exactly similarly the Christian conquering figure image represents something else. I offer that it represents. To Christian conquering Emperor Constantine. Who brought about the Christian Council of victory the Council of nicea?
Are you saying the "figure" of Rev 19 is not Jesus ? Verse 13 says the name he is called is the Word of God. Verse 16 the name on his robe is King of kings,Lord of lords. You believe this is or was Constantine ?

If Jesus is spiritually present throughout his church. He could be spiritually present in every Christian, Including Constantine in particular.

So harlot of Baillon had a sign on her forehead. With names written all over it. But nobody expects that represent an actual physical earthly woman. With writing on her head everybody knows to

interpret those words spiritual. The w**** of Babylon represents. First century Jerusalem. Where Christ was crucified, according to revelation 11 first day?

Image of one woman represents the whole entire city. jerusalem

so similarly. Image of one man on horseback. Represents an entire society, an entire organization, namely the church as the body of Christ. Christian conquering figure in revelation 19 symbolizes the church. Victorious. That was brought about by Emperor Constantine. The Council of victory in 325. A.d.

I'm starting to get the impression you might be Postmil then. And if so, Postmil IMO, of all of the postions, such as Amil and Premil, is the least likely position to be correct. It's 2018, and if Postmil is true, this would indicate that at this point in time, the bodily 2nd coming of Christ can't occur until sometime after 3018. Can't imagine this world continuing that long.

As to Revelation 19 and a spiritual coming, how would a spiritual coming fulfill Revelation 19:20?

Revelation 19:20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.

This says the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him---These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.

How were they taken and by whom were they taken, and by whom were they cast alive into a LOF?
Great questions. Not Entirely sure how to answer them Off the cuff, so to speak. For example, WHERE is the Lake of fire? I always thought Lake of fire did not even exist until final judgment day after the Millennium.

That makes me think that the term Lake of fire. Refers to hell in some spiritual. Sense, which has no obvious physical counterpart on Earth.

Revelation is full of heavenly. Visions. Which are spiritually significant? But requires significant interpretation. I think it's kind of like sports team mascots. You can speak about the Chicago Bears versus the Detroit Lions. You used the term bears and Lions. And those terms. Are accurate in some sense? They are valuable for describing what is happening. But you don't actually mean bears and Lions from the zoo or the wild or something like that. And the terms bears and Lions don't actually describe the physical human players on the football field. Or even any of the fans in the bleachers around.

So casting the beast into the Lake of fire. Spiritually interpreted Represents. The fall of the Pagan Roman Empire. What emerges victorious was the Christian conquering figure on horseback? Which symbolizes the church the body of Christ Victorious? That occurred in 325 a D at the Council of victory, the Council of Nicea. Named after. The Greek goddess Nike of victory.

The beast has to be a real entity though. Not like a scifi monster or something, but a real entity, nonetheless. One clue is this---These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone. The LOF has to be a real place as well, because if it isn't, then neither is it a real place in Revelation 20 either. We are told in Revelation 20, that when satan gets cast into the LOF, he's gets cast into the same place the beast and fp are cast into.

In regards to the beast and fp, how does one cast something alive into the LOF that doesn't even actually literally exist in some form? Why does the text indicate they are alive when cast in? Only breathing entities of some kind would be alive.

Since you are a rather sharp person, you would do good to ditch a lot of this Preterist type thinking you have going on from time to time, such as in your post above.
