CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Probably during the holidays, starting with Thanksgiving through New Year's. People want to have a honey to squeeze during the colder holiday months.

Weddings. Celebrating the love of another couple and their union between one another and God is a pretty real reminder that you don't have that in your life.

I immediately thought of Christmas only because I think it would be nice to go for a walk in the snow and have someone there to warm your hands. BUT so long as I don't dwell on it too much, it's alright. There's a lot to keep my busy during that time as well.
As for Valentines day... I kind of love it. Spend the whole day spoiling my students. Come home and have a self pamper day and eat all the heart shaped cookies!

Very long drives along the scenic route I guess.
I usually bring a camera and stop some place random and take pictures of the scenery. It must have been nicer to have someone with you with similar interest having fun at the same thing. I do it even when the weather is bad, it's an all-weather activity for me. It's been many years since I did it though.
