Robert Van Kampen said, in his book the Rapture Question Answered Plain and Simple that he's heard that joke about 100 times since he wrote his first book in 1992.

If you don't feel there is enough evidence to adhere to one particular view, that's great.  In fact, I suggest that all of us get familiar with the other views and consider them a possibility even if we strongly believe in our own.

However, the prophesy is there for a reason.  If it cannot be figured out and made sense of, there is little or no purpose for it to be there.

True, they are there for our instruction. My own feeling is though. that most believers cling so hard to their interpretation that they can't listen to other believers. especilly on issues that are not central. And, I don't consider it a joke it's the truth every thing will be settled when Jesus comes back for his spotless bride. ( thats a hint)

God Bless Pete

Hey, I just noticed, I'm twice as old as you... so respect your elders ;) thats a joke, son. anyway I've looked at prophecy for oh, about 20 yrs or so and have gone thru all the basic views. The one thing I can say is.... He's coming back!!!!!

God Bless  again

There most likely is not real proof of the start of creation. The 4000 & 2000 year thing is pretty close most likely? (Christ was around 5 yrs. old at 0's starting point) That would mean when the real 6000 years come, the earth would have her sabbath. (Peter & his 1000 yrs day remark) Then at the ending of the 1000 yrs. the rest of the dead are resurrected.

Anyway for the nearness of the Master's coming? Matt. 24:14 [had] its first time history going into all of the then known world. (see Rom. 10:18) And God REQUIRETH the past! Eccl. 1:9-10 & Eccl. 3:15.

The Gospel is right now worldwide like a set of Christmas lights at the present time. All it needs is for something to (try Rev. 3:9 for the something) 'persecute' (as told us in Matt. 10:23) the REAL CHURCH. It will be wittnessed worldwide on Satalite, T.V., News, Computors & on & on!

Anyway, the World will be engulfed in its Wittness. Two groups with the same message that are saying that they are the TRUE DENOMINATION (like in Christ day) & yet, one is seen in their true state as in Rev. 3:9 of PERSECUTION! Fulfilling Matt. 10:23 to a T!! (remember that it was Christ 'already' there, speaking, so it is END TIME present day Truth!)

After the world watches & has opportunity to 'know Truth', then because of the horrendous trouble that is upon the world. The 'professed church's' will do anything to stop God's Judgements & on comes a worldwide law against religous liberty & in a UNITIFIED front! This will be the LAST test, one way or the other. The Matt. 10:23 verse had done it work with the same interest, such as the world watching the O.J. Simpson trial, or the Space shuttle disaster. And it will ALL BE OVER IN A MATTER of months, from that time on!!!---P/N/B/

I have an intriguing theory that holds much theological validity...I hope you find it interesting...:)

Once the treaty is signed between the Anti-Christ and Israel, Christians will indeed know the exact day the Great Tribulation will end. However, what is even more important to Christians will be the GREAT sign in the sky to rocket his children outta here...yeah!!!! :) That is the sixth seal...

I will submit to you that indeed we, as Christians, can know the approximate time of the year when this takes place, i.e., the sixth seal. To be the true Messiah (as He is, of course) he has already fulfilled the spring feasts earlier in the Jewish religious calendar, he therefore must fullfill the remaining Jewish feasts as the feasts point directly to the Messiah. He can only do this at his glorious appearing and Second Coming. So then it follows, that the Lord should return between Rosh Hashannah and Hanukah.

I find such theory, highly probable, if not likely. Very intriguing...
