I have to ask, why has the 'Sabbath' become such a stumbling block in Christianity? I mean, seriously why are we arguing the Sabbath so much in these threads. Either God is who He says He is, and He commanded what He commanded. If it's holy, He certainly didn't go through the trouble to change His mind and then make it un-holy (un-set-apart). Seriously, let's move beyond the milk of the Word and move onto the meat! ;)

christians in CF unorthodox behave the most unchristian like anywhere I've been. It's like people only come in here to hurl insults at other christians. I should definitelyh leave this cease pool alone.

I guess I am a little dense.

Jesus blessed the seventh day and made it holy at creation. That is a holy day that has nothing to do with Jews.

To what end?

Jud 1:3
Beloved, although I was very eager to write to you about our common salvation, I found it necessary to write appealing to you to contend for the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints.

Pretty straightforward, huh Lionroot? :)

Like a lot of issues. The confusion begins at the church...which in this case is pretty invested in Sunday worship.

The Sabbath NEVER stopped being holy...It always was holy, and it always will be holy, no matter what man's traditions are.

"We observe Sunday instead of Saturday because the Catholic Church, in the council of Laodicea (A.D. 364) transferred the solemnity from Saturday to Sunday"

The Convert's Catechism of Catholic Doctrine, page 50, third edition

Sunday was instituted by the CC because that was the day Jesus rose from the dead. Catholics are no longer bound by the Old Covenant. The Old Covenant was between God and the Jewish people ONLY.

Jesus brought about a New Covenant. The New Covenant includes Gentiles. The old laws no longer apply to Catholics.

Under what authority does the RCC change God's holy day? For what reason do the protestants follow the RCC?

Perhaps there is still much work for the Reformation...

So what then do you make of this verse?
Jer 31:31
The New Covenant

31 "Behold, the days are coming, declares the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah,
? ESV

How do the gentiles fit into this?

This is the prophecy about Jesus. His mother descended from the Royal house of Israel, from King David. He is the mediator of the New Covenant which includes all mankind. He is the Lion of Judah.

Problem is most Jews did/do not recognise him as the Messiah.

Personally, I do not see the contradiction that many do between worshipping on Sunday and not Saturday. The Sabbath (Saturday) is a day of rest from work, not a day to do work such as religious work or any other sort of work. Those who choose to engage in religious work on Saturday are as guilty of violating the Sabbath as those who work on that day in a factory. Personally, I like to rest on the Sabbath, which I am doing now BTW, and worship on Sunday. God has never restricted His worship to only one day a week, has He?
