Jesus didn't say abolish...He said fulfill. Huge difference. Paul said the law is dead and nailed to the cross along with Jesus. Either Paul was totally wrong and preaching a whole different gospel or your understanding of Jesus' words is flawed.
When we keep the law of love we two have kept the intent of the old law. Simple and beautiful.
We know that God had sanctified the 7th day, and it may have been on this day that Able and Cain chose to present their offerings to Him. However, we cannot find where God commanded anyone else but the Israelites to observe this day. Only until we can find in the New Testament where the Christians are to carry on the observance of this day that God sanctified for Himself, can we actually say that no other day should be set aside.
In Ephesians 2:15 & Colossians 2:14 the Koine Greek word for ordinances is 'dogma'. Thayer's Greek-English Lexicon of the New Testament says of this word in those 2 verses: 'the law of commandments contained in the ordinances- the bond against us by it's decrees'.
This boils down to saying that if it wqs not just the laws outside the 10 commandments that were 'nailed to the cross'....but also the 10 commandments themselves, then those 10 commandments were 'dogma' .
