  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

But it's more than just skin. It's ethnicity and culture. What if one race, skin, and culture really is better than all the rest?

Race has nothing to do with culture.
Race is about your genetic make up.

But that's because non-racists start with the idea that people are all the same.

A human is a human is a human.
Be it an asian, a black african or a white caucasian.
All are humans. All are members of the species Homo Sapiens.

If we start with the premise that one race is better than all of the others

Why would you start with that premise?
And which race is the "better one" then? I'm gonna go out on a limb here and guess that if you do happen to believe that one race is better then the others..... that that "better" race happens to be the one YOU belong to. Is it not?

In that case, what's wrong with racism?

Imagine you are a member of one of the other races and reflect on that for a few seconds.

Can I judge that a doctor or lawyer is probably a pretty smart guy without asking them to take an IQ test. Are doctors and lawyers not also groups of people?

Those are groups of people that are categorised based on a certain thing that they have done or accomplished. You can make assumptions based on those accomplishments.

Skin color, is not such a thing.

An invalid premise.

Race is wrong because race is fixed.

Two cultures, two ethnic groups, those of the Kingdom of Heaven under Christ and those of the kingdom of the world under Satan.

But people can defect from one nation, immigrate into a new nation.

Race is about your genetic make up.

That concept didn't exist until the 20th century. "Race" used to mean something very different. At one time there were the "Barbarian" and "Civilized" races. A barbarian's children could be of the civilized race if they learned Greek and lived as eastern Romans in eastern Roman territory. You could change race. Genetic definition was a later innovation.

Even into the 20th century, people were talking about the "Slavic race" and the "Bavarian race" and such--and claiming they could determine even physical distinctions between them.

I almost can't believe no-one mentioned the 'Veil of Ignorance' test (although DogamHunter came close).

Imagine you were going to be born into a society, but you had no clue as to the racial background you were going to be born into.

Would you want to be born into a society that discriminated against particular racial groups, or one that recognised a principle of universal human dignity and treated all racial groups equally?

It's not an "innovation". It is a correction.

Race is determined by genetic make-up.
The stuff you talk about concerning how the word was used back in the day, what they really meant there is culture.

It has been done so many times on these forums. It is always ignored or telegraphed to a strawman.

People aren't stupid; they are ignorant. They choose to ignore a lot of things in order to continue to live the life that is most "doable" for them. The knowledge of an injustice, and to recognize you benefit from an injustice makes you responsible.

That is why the same types who choose to ignore the truth, and benefit from a system that subjugate certain people often tend to be the same ones who are annoyed by social justice. SJWs bring "awareness," which forces one to confront a reality. Awareness is categorically against ignorance.

Why is racism bad? Different people are different (duh). Is it wrong to point that out?

Racism implies a race of people are better than another. The only acceptable racism would be the people who are children of the Most High God - fully. This goes beyond Christianity; the race of entities who are the descendants of the higest God would be the supreme race of entities.

The Hebrews STARTED like this, but the reneged and abdicated their dominion and rightful supremacy. Now, everyone is in the same stuff - same rotting meat sacks with death always half a step behind.

You would have to have never seen a mirror in your life, be incredibly ignorant, misinformed and/or stupid in order to believe any race on this slowly dying planet is superior to another. There is no other option. Humans murder each other, and the same humans that claim supremacy can be obliterated by the alleged weakest of us.

It is only a "correction" to those who have gleefully embraced Satan as their lord and master. "Race" is and always has been a word with an arbitrary definition.

Prove, with concrete evidence, that the currently popular usage is OBJECTIVELY correct and not merely widely used.

I see you are not a Christian of any sort at all. Christians understand that none of us are descendants of God. God does not have descendants. There is the Son, but the Son is also fully God. We are God's children, but all of us are His children by adoption, not descent. Even the Hebrews were not His children by descent.

Likewise, the Hebrews had no supremacy, never. They had a chosen role. They had a chosen and special relationship, but they never had supremacy. The world was not for them (or any nation) to rule. There was a homeland for them, but that did not mean they had supremacy.

Do you not understand what "until" means? REALLY? If something didn't occur UNTIL the 20th century, that means it BEGAN in the 20th century. Do you just not bother to read before you respond?

lol, wut???

"Race" is and always has been a word with an arbitrary definition.

Not today. Today, it is wel understood that "race" is biologically determined and that you can't "change" your race.

Prove, with concrete evidence, that the currently popular usage is OBJECTIVELY correct and not merely widely used.
You can easily prove it to yourself.

Consider this picture:

One of the humans in this picture is of a different race then the others.
Can you tell wich?
