Yes I did One of the girls brought her Wii and we played with that, had beers and pizza, and just talked and giggled all night, pretty much.

I haven't had fun with a group of girls like that in soo long. I've only recently started hanging out with these girls outside of Bible study. I used to have a large group of friends that were girls in high school and then I lost all my friends after moving around a lot (in different states), getting involved with a guy that was abusive, and then even after I was done with that guy me having agoraphobia and depression wasn't exactly conducive to making new friends. After breaking up with him all my friends IRL were guys I'd known in high school that just happened to go to a university near where I'd moved to and then only friends I had that were women were my mom and her friends, and that's just not quite the same, you know?

Hey! Yes, I've been having a pretty good weekend. How about yourself?

That sounds like a lot of fun! I'm glad that, despite all the trials that you have experienced, things are starting to come full circle for you, so to speak - and you are finding a nice group of girls to hang with again. Girlfriends are important for us to have, IMO.

I've had a really good weekend, too! I made a deal with myself that I was going to have more of a life again (socially) starting this year. The past couple of years have been rough ones as I've gone through some transition and I kind of turned into a hermit and didn't really get out much. I've been doing much better about getting out there and living life and making friends/hanging out with friends so far this year and it feels really good.

Today has been the typical Sunday for me. Woke up, attended Mass, came home and did aerobics. Then did some prep work for school lessons tomorrow. The rest of the day will be relaxation and peace and quiet.

Living alone I get a lot of peace and quiet, but I still enjoy it. Remember I am with 5 year olds all week long. There is no peace and quiet there.
