We had a few spits throughout the afternoon
but the storms did not return

I should have videoed the downpour, it was really something to watch
must have splashed back from the roads some 18 inches or more
like , a knee-high mist, but, it was virtually over by the time I got out of bed

I've had some runs that put me in Western Tennessee late at night, and these runs seem to entail running through heavy fog. It's hill country there, and it seems the Tennessee River is never very far away and I suspect that has more than a little to do with it. In any case, along about ten-thirty at night CDT you can expect heavy fog to be pretty consistent through there. Tennessee Highway 22 is the road I was on for much of the section, it's two-lane highway and hilly, with curves and all the rest of the fun stuff. The temps were in the 75F to 80F range, and last time it had been raining earlier.

Right now, Villa Park, Illinois: Cloudy, 66F. It never did make it to 80F, and tomorrow is supposed to be only 75F or so under partly cloudy skies.

We live in a rainy climate but the sun has been shining every day for three weeks and the only rain we get is just a little morning mist. Perfect weather these days! 70 to 85 outside each day cooling off each night and nice and cool each morning.

The thunderstorms never reached us here Dave. I was expecting them so didn't water the plants last night - but not a drop of rain today. Could do with it really.

I got this completely wrong! I found out late yesterday that we had had them, and I'd slept through them!

We've had a LOT of rain recently in Southwest Oklahoma, and we give thanks. We have more rain forecast for tonight. Wow - the humidity - but we're not complaining - bring on the rain Lord and thank you.

We've been getting a lot of sun but not a lot of heat- low 80's or so and I've actually been cold at night when its gotten down into the middle 50's! Right now its 1:30PM here in Seattle and the temp is 75.7 degrees here at McCord Air Force Base.

We got 5 inches of rain here yesterday, and we're all giving thanks. Our water problems should be fixed now for quite some time.
