Temps have been climbing since early this morning
@ 11 am they are already 70.F / 20.C
Skies are clear and marked, only by vapour trails that criss-cross the skies above us

It is gonna be hot [for Umbrella City anyway]

I'm wondering if it will reach 40.C today

We had the dogs in the pool out front [where there is shade]
but I have both sat here beside-me [indoors] where it is cooler [?]

Mary is out the back garden, under the parasol
with straw hat and sun guard lotion 'ON'

I do not know where they collected that measurement from
but, it was certainly not from around here
Forecast for tomorrow is EVEN HOTTER here in the North West of the UK

It seems the worst of the storms have gone south of us for now.
Hopefully the tropical downpours we just got will cool us off

we had doors and windows open [upstairs and down]
and a fan [at times full-blast] here in the living room

Bedtime should be stifling... but we'll see how that goes

Temps have now fallen to 22.C / 74.F
and will become cooler, once the sun has gone from the skyline [@ 20 minutes or so]

We do take care [are careful] re: the sun

Villa Park, Illinois-- the "Home 20" in CB lingo--. Presently 73F, cloudy, kinda drippy. Rain coming through this morning, radar shows somewhat heavier rains coming this way. Highs excessively warm and humid, 88F this afternoon, rainy conditions. The mushrooms will like it, anyway-- and the grass will grow like crazy.

Warm and rainy expected much of this week.

They say the heat wave will end Friday, with 'cooler' temps (@80) and dry air

So far, the weather people must be smoking some great weed because they've been wrong 3 days in a row- KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK GUYS! They've said the temp's were going to be in the upper 70's to low 80's here in Seattle and its all the way up to 65 degrees! COOL IS GOOD!

G-d in his infinite grace is giving me cool weather while I recuperate from my appendix and a umbilical hernia being repaired- just wanted to put that SHOUTOUT OF THANKS TO THE LORD!

Finally drying out here,after a week of rain.In the first week of this month,we got 3 inches more than the average..
Maybe my septic system will settle down now,it got overwhelmed,close to having to be pumped,again!
