It's been raining here today. There was a tornado watch, but now it's over for this area. Weather should be warmer this week and rain on Fri. with cooler temps. in the 50's for the weekend.

I've got to make this laptop transportable again. Yesterday was a perfect example of differences in weather in different regions.

I had to go to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It was sunny and warm there, and it got to the 70s in most of my trip back under sunny skies. I didn't start to get into the rainy, cool and windy weather they were having in Chicago until I got to the Indiana-Ohio state line. This trip wasn't bad at all, but I can imagine it can be almost impossible in Winter. The tollway/turnpike roads I used run through the Snow Belt and it's not hard to imagine them being shut down.

Right now, Carol Stream Illinois-- Rainy, cool and windy is called for. It is raining, we have the high for the day right now (6:30 AM) at 48F, and the wind is South at 5mph, I'm guessing it'll blow harder as the day wears on.

It's currently 73F here, and we are in desperate need of rain. Last night we had wild fires all around us with winds of up to 50 mph and more making matters much worse. 900 homes near us had to be evacuated. The wind is calm right now, allowing the firefighters to put out the remaining fires. If you're tired of rain where you live, send it here. Sadly, the winds start again tomorrow, but we're hoping it doesn't get strong enough this time to break high-line wires and start fires again. We've had drought conditions here for a long time, and many of our farmers/ranchers are desperate for rain.

It was overcast till about 45 minutes before my Grand daughter's 1st birthday party. It was like someone pulled up the shades it came that fast. I think the wind blew the clouds away. Anyway we had a ton of people over for the party two grandmas one great grandma mom dad 3 uncles and numerous friends and cousins etc. it lasted 5 hours. Wow it was fun and my gd was so mellow the whole time and just loved it.
