CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Still abnormally hot and dry. The drought and heat are sparking fires all over here (and in many states in the north west). We will be smoke filled for I think the 7th day. On the flip side, smoke can make for lovely sunrises and sunsets. Here is after sunrise this morning (about 6:10am I think) ...
And here is a helicopter yesterday ferrying a water bucket (the bucket is just out of view of the shot, but you can see the cable). They were fighting a new fire about 20 or 30 miles away that caused them to close the interstate.
Hoping the heat and drought let up soon.

Tornado hit a few blocks away from my house, thankfully nobody died. Few were injured and a couple were seriously injured

Yes we do, not as often or as big. The last time
we had a Tornado go through here 30 years and it was a f5 this one was a f2.
