I hope you're feeling okay. I got up and fell asleep yesterday with the TV on. I had a horrible dream and slept for hours sitting up; now my hip hurts and I've been awake all night!

Possibility of snow Saturday and Sunday. A frost is predicted tonight and tomorrow night.

In NW UK there was a cold wind from the East, but it was also quite sunny today. The plants don't need watering so it must have rained sometime recently.

Rebornfree, I believe you said you were in the northwest UK. I imagine that would be Scotland. This is an abnormally cool spring especially by recent standards. The climate here has been warming. I have not seen snow in May for at least 20 years. Back in the 70''s we had a couple of years when snow lingered on the ground until May, with the latest fall of snow on May 16, 1976.

I'm far enough ftom Canada to not get snow in May. YAY!

I went out on my little front porch at noon in a sleeveless shirt and the weather was perfect; probably upper sixties Fahrenheit (my favorite). But some of my flower pots are coming in because the night temperature is going down below freezing on Friday.

I live in New York State about 200 miles (322km) from the Canadian border (Ontario). New York City is about 230 miles (370 km) to the southwest of me.

Today was sunny and in the low 50's (11 celcius). Last night the temperature fell to at least 30 (-1 celcius).

That's close to the kind of weather we get this time of year.

This evening it's 47F right now. Tonight they say it will be 34F. Tomorrow's high will be 58F and Low 39F.

No, I should have written 'NW England'. I'm fairly near Manchester, but I did live in the east of Scotland as an infant many years ago.

We had a cold snap as Autumn is here now, got down to 5C a couple of nights ago. Today is 23 C. Which according to Google conversion is a little above 70F!

Frosty at dawn. On May 5 it was 28F (-2C); on May 6 it was 29 (-2C). We should avoid another frost tonight although we will get close. Snow mixed with rain is predicted Saturday.

It was 2:01 AM when I posted that. I put on warmer clothing and survived. I'll call them on Monday. Our temps have risen.

Yesterday (May 9) morning there was a trace to an inch of new snow on the ground. The amount of snow adhering was relative to the type of surface. The temperature range was 39 F (4C) to 28 F (-2C).
