A lovely run of mild summer sunshine these last few days. So pleasant after the recent scorchers we all suffered under...

Partly cloudy. High 18F. Winds WSW at 10 to 20 mph.


Tonight:
Cloudy with snow. Low 12F. Winds SE at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of snow 90%! Snow accumulating 3 to 5 inches.

It was sunny and 57F for a high today in Central Oklahoma. We're still praying for rain, but that would change if we got rain every day. I can't imagine what it would be like to get rain every day.

go several months WITHOUT any rain
and, without seriously 'missing a drop'

If I could redirect the occasional heavy shower...

Love the pictures! We have a nice sunny day today, 5c. Rain and sleet promised for tomorrow...but they said that for today, ha ha. I will believe it when I see it...

LOL. I found it heavy, wet, and slippery when I walked down the driveway to get my mail. It was getting deep, too.

LOL! Tom, I was going to suggest that you visit Dave to find out!

Joking apart, though, I know that drought can be serious: praying that you get sufficient rain for your region's needs.

Here it has been milder but apparently "thundersnow" is due today (Sun). Don't fancy the thunder or the winds.

I haven't heard the thunder or seen any snow yet, so it's not as forecast (unless that was for another part of the UK). However we've had hail, which I find fascinating to watch, but as it melted soon after landing the surface is again wet!

It has been very windy with sleet, sunshine...but very cold.
But it didn't spoil the fun, took the grandchildren out and they had a great time.

I'm not sure whether we've had snow, or whether it is hail which has settled on the garden and cars, but not on the paths. It looks pretty. I think it is hail as it seems to be separate stones rather than one white fluffy mass. It's dark now (midnight) so it's hard to tell.

We had a high today of 39F, and the low tonight is forecast for 12F. It's dry and sunny here in Central Oklahoma.

Was that sunshine EARLY MORNING, followed by what appeared to be, frozen 'drizzle' for almost an hour, resulting
in a light blanketing of that crystalline texture
that Sue mentioned above and then there were some
thicker flakes
for just two minutes or so before ceasing, completely

This morning our locality awakes
to a light dusting of snow on rooftops, cars and wheelie bins ..
and it isn't WARM at-all out there
A frost could be the catalyst, for a lot of avoidable accidents today
