Well, the snow fell (about an inch or two everywhere)

The roads were salted / gritted in preparation for it's arrival

Actually we could see it thawing before it ceased to fall
Maybe it will be gone, before, the ice-arrives

a pair of house finches are outside my window, and the female appears to be gathering nesting materials.

I often leave a hair / fur bundle, from Dog combing
within the branches of bushes in the front garden
Many small birds 'help-themselves' to beak-fulls, returning repeatedly until they have had enough


Today is very cold outside, close to freezing .... Heating, is going-on
when I return from the store in a little while
We are presently having a 'break' from the rain
