CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

We have freezing rain here in Central Oklahoma. There are accidents literally everywhere, many with multiple vehicles involved. It's supposed to get worse during the night.

Soooooo good! - I found that too!Yes, we went for a walk this afternoon...well wrapped up, very well wrapped up as it was dry but very cold. It felt so good to be out.
(Mind you, part of my reason for going was that I'd run out of chocolate , but the fresh air and exercise was good too! )

We had a high of 41F today in Central Oklahoma. We give thanks that it was just warm enough to melt most of the ice and snow on our roads. Our number of car accidents has been reduced dramatically.

It's been hot here these last few days - too hot for us. But showers are predicted for the whole country in the next day or two and I'm sure we will not be the only NZers thankful for a drop in temps.
