CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

It's 41F and cloudy here today in Central Oklahoma. The weatherman said we would have gusts of wind from 40 to 50 mph, and we have them. Thankfully, it's mainly around 11 mph.

It is cloudy/foggy right now.
In a couple of hours it is supposed to start raining, this afternoon, tonight, all day tomorrow and into Sunday morning.
Currently we are 0.56 inches shy of the all time wettest year on record, which goes back to the 1880s. We will pass that tonight or early tomorrow morning.

That is weird; as Oregon has just went thru the driest fall on record; I guess all that rain had to go some place!

We had a wind storm go thru the PNW this afternoon and we have been out of power since around 12:30 PST; just came back up--we were in cave-man mode for about 6 hrs; got to get my on-line fix now!
