CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Just came inside from another water hauling and feeding the kids for the night. 26 below now.

It's 44 here and the temperature should be dropping all day with a low of 25 tomorrow morning; a slight chance of freezing rain, which I really hope we don't get. Texans lose their minds when there's even a hint of ice on the road.

It's 10F here today for 25 minutes into the New Year. The weatherman says it will get down to 8F today. The streets are dry in my part of Central Oklahoma, and I give thanks for that.

The weatherman says we can look forward to much warmer weather - starting with 38F for a high tomorrow. It's supposed to hit 58F this coming Saturday. I'll believe that when I see it.
