I missed the frost - maybe I was not up in time, lol, or maybe just a little too far south. No frost outside at the moment (Wed 2 a.m.) but temps due to go down to 3C. I'm still hoping for a dry day to get out for a good walk. Hope you enjoyed yours, despite the cold, musicalpilgrim.

I have food _for two weeks ~without needing to shop for-more
I am staying-in, where it is warm and cosy

Its very very very cold here!!!!!

scary cold, as in really bad wind chills and all kinds of warnings.

I'm running out of things to make in the oven, lol!

anyone else wearing warm leggings all around the house?

I slept all night on a heating pad too, but very poorly.

The thing has an auto turn off, so no worries

its so bad, my gloves are not even enough to keep my fingers from freezing, and I need a warm cap, plus a heavy fur lined hood, and very heavy duty wool socks!

yes...I only work off cartoons and memories, it is too cold to venture out today. I seem to remember that we both have a lung problem, so cocoa and a nice warm fire is great.

that sounds very cold! can you wrap up in a duvet? they are very warm and retain the heat. Certainly a woolly hat, etc.
can anyone help you to get some heat? I pray for help for you.

I find it easier and cheaper to have the heating on all the time the house is occupied, but on a low boiler temperature. That way the house never cools down too much. The insulation is bad though, as it is old, so it might not be necessary in a newer home. Also I have a new front door, so less draughts!

I feel for you hope. That sounds very cold. Some of those temps on the map of North America are much lower than we get.

I'm not too far from Dave and mp, and it is probably about/just below freezing, but a beautiful starlit night. This afternoon I had the long-awaited walk. There was a sprinkling of snow earlier, but it had thawed and the temp was above freezing. Everything looked a bit after-snow soggy , but it was a lovely walk nevertheless.

The same jet stream that brings the cold to the mid-west and back east; has brought us here in the PNW; warm temps from the southern pacific ocean; we had a high of 59F today; it's like spring weather; but with some rain; which is fine.
