  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

It' 22F(-6C) now at 3am with a high today of 44f; but the big weather news for the Eugene area is "air stagnation" with freezing fog; it started last Saturday and is supposed to last till Thursday afternoon. Gives the outside a dreamy look with the fog and sparkly frost on everything.

Yesterday (Monday) was beautifully sunny causing the remaining snow to glisten. We only had a small amount so were not inconvenienced like some parts of the UK, although there was some ice on the pavements. The air was very still, and although it was about freezing, I loved being out in it (well wrapped up and keeping moving ). I seem to be drawn to snow as others are to summer sun! Later in the evening the stars were wonderful.

Today it is raining, but the snow remains like icing on a cake!

it's snowing! we haven't had more than a dusting, in the foothills of the Peninnes, but it snowing tonight!

Sunny later today after an icy, slight snowy start.

My local City Council decided that they were not going to salt/grit the main roads in their own words "because it was going to rain and it will wash away the salt". It rains overnight which then turned into sheets of ice on our roads due to the roads not being treated at all. They decide to pop out and start at 7.30am. So this morning, our road network was gridlocked during the rush hour. The surrounding council boroughs gritted their main roads twice.

Took me 2 hours (normally a 35-40 minute round trip) to get my son to school today. My daughter didn't get to school (having left home at 7.25am) until 10am.
