What's the most you've ever paid for a video game?

If I recall correctly, I paid $54.99 for the original Sonic when it came out for Sega Genesis. That's the most I ever paid for a video game. I came that close to paying $69 for the original Phantasy Star game on the Sega Master System. Thank God I didn't because I caught it on clearance a couple months later at Toys R Us for about $10. That game was totally awesome and basically the first RPG I played from beginning to end.

Probably $60, which I paid for quite a few Nintendo 64 games. Goldeneye, Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, Super Mario, etc. were all on those silly cartridges that cost a ton. Great games, though

If you mean that plasic is hard, then yes! It is a hard game.

Try out Phantasy Star or even Phantasy Star II. FFVII won't seem so hard.

I have that. The overabundance of protect missions in it drive me insane sometimes though.

I actually witnessed one of my friends shell out $300 for a SegaCD2 unit and Shining Force CD. I shouldn't talk, because I bought a SegaCD when they were new(ouch) but that was way before emulation hit the scene.

I bought Windwaker for €209. I did get a Gamecube with it for free. I think I will buy some more Gamecube games in the future, but I bought my GC just for WW, so I guess you can say that's my most expensive game ever.

I am a big Sierra fan, and I really like the classic games like King's Quest, Space Quest, etc. If I can find any rare copies of those games I'm willing to pay more than usual. For example I almost payed €60 for Hero's Quest on Ebay.

Beat this, I paid exactally 312.35 for a game set with included Halo, Splinter Cell, Splinter Cell 2, Grand Theft Auto 3, Grand Theft Auto Vice City, and Wolfenstine, these came on three Xbox Discs, and was a special at a local store here in Mississippi, and it came with Game Guides for each game.

Disk 1- Halo, Wolfenstine
Disk 2- Splinter Cell series
Disk 3- GTA series

The most I have paid on a single game alone was Goldeneye for Nintendo 64 I paid about 65.00 for it a blockbuster.

Realistically, about $100. Dungeon Master II for Sega CD, for which I had to buy the memory expansion cartridge and a Sega CD Mouse to even play it... That was pricey, but I loved that game to pieces.

$98 AUD. for gran turismo 3 when it was new.. although i bought it in a GT3 bundle pack (which was $780AUD this was when the ps2 and gt3 were still fairly new) but gt3 was priced at $98 at the time so yeah...
but generally i wait until they hit platinum or go classic before i get them unless it is an awesome game.
